Spence washed Mikey, but couldn't hurt him in the process. I see Pac dropping Mikey a few times and possibly even stopping him.
Spence slowly undressed Mikey on PPV. What's funny is Manny softened Algieri for Spence but now Spence softened Mikey up for Manny. Imo. I hope the fight happens!! Manny deserves to fight someone closer to his own size for once. Winner of Crawford-Spence should get Manny imo! Manny will probably be 45 by the time Spence musters the confidence to fight Crawford.
Spence was willing to fight a safe fight, boxing Mikey, jabbing him to death. Spence didn’t need to take chances and looked to go easy on the smaller guy. Manny is a different type of fighter and I suspect Mikey would not finish the fight on his feet. Easy money for PAC. I hope the fight takes place because it will be the beating that sends Mikey back to his natural weight, 135. Mikey is good but not at 147. Mikey needs to hire Canelo’s “nutritionist” and get on those special “vitamins” needed to gain muscle mass needed to compete at this weight. Otherwise, he is playing with fire.
PAC isn’t as one dimensional as Mikey is. PAC won’t hesitate or let Spence bully him like he did Mikey and despite being as old as he is PAC can still put his punches together when he needs to. Mikey is very good at what he does, but he kept waiting for the perfect opening to land his counter right that unfortunately never came. Mikey throughout his career has always had a bad habit of hesitating and not throwing enough punches when he doesn’t get the perfect opening to set up his shots and he paid for against Spence, who punched Mikey clean every time he waited and didn’t give Mikey anytime to think.
Spence's only advantages over Pac are physical strength, size and youth. Pac has him beat in every other department.
