and the massive promotion they did for the floyd-mosley, with all that you would think they would generate double PPV numbers.

If he's blowing through his money and piling up tax debt like Floyd, then he may regret it, but only in that case. For posterity's sake, Floyd is the one who will regret it, because it adds "Manny Pacquaio" to an already long list of names of top fighters Floyd avoided over the last decade of his career. I said it on another thread and I'll say it again. Since Floyd moved up from 135 in 2002, compare the guys he fought to the guys he didn't fight, and see which list actually includes the names of the top guys in that respective division, and which includes a list of guys who were either old, coming up from smaller weight classes, or just plain B- level fighters.

Meanwhile, Manny will be remembered as the guy that burst onto the scene at 122 as a last-minute replacement, and knocked out a heavily favored champion. And from there went on a tear winning titles against the absolute top dogs in the divisions all the way to 147 pounds.

Posterity will show Manny as a true ATG, and Floyd as that guy no one can really agree about because he never would face the best, at least post-135.

There's nothing to regret. He gave it a chance. He cannot fight alone on the ring, somebody has to be opposite him.
