Ironically this could be said about alot of his proteges. And people wonder if he has ever thrown in the towel. The man is human not quicksilver!
The way I see this playing out..Taylor has a hot offense no matter what the clowns say.. He got the best jab hook off of the jab that I have ever seen. Most clowns thinks he just jabs jabs..nah..he can hook off the jab in a blink. His hand speed is so much superior to pavlik it is utterly ridiculous. The reason JT will is b/c he will find it too easy to find Pavlik and he would not be able to resist going all in and just unloading. BUT Pavlik got a hell of a beard and most of his knockouts come from guys getting into brawls with him and his power and chin take over. As long as JT pops him twice move get reset and keep pavlik moving he has a chance to get a DEC. JT does not have the stamina to do this for 12 and he would need to go to Pavliks weak spot his body which is risky b/c he got a left hook or uppercut for those who dare trespass. Pavlik is not a hard guy to box, he is a hard guy to stay in the ring with for 12. He keeps coming and he instigates brawls and JT will get the best of the first few. But once Pavlik is still there and coming. JT would have to just go for ****ing broke and try to take Pavliks head off with his quick left hook and right hand looping combo.
Oh, yes, I have been waiting for you to surface. I figured you saw the HBO countdown and ran away when they showed Pavlik with the sledgehammer.
Surface....I never leave....Im like the shadow................................... or herpes...depends on whom you ask....
Manny isn't one to jump in quickly to rescue his fighter. He will, in my opinion, have to deal with a Taylor loss here.
If you want to beat Pavlik, it's not coming effortlessly or easy...you have to dig deep and work for it.
And what does that question tries to insinuate this time? :think  Of course he will . . . if there's a need to. Of all trainers? I'm sure Steward knows when his fighter is already beaten up and there's a chance of long or permanent damage.
Why would Manny throw in the towel if his man is giving Pavlik a beatdown after round five? Wouldn't that be a task for Kelly's corner?
one thing taylor must do v pavlik that he has not done in his last 3 fights is follow the gameplan of his corner. boxing safe and within himself will not beat pavlik IMO and for the ouma/wright/spinks fights his corner could not seem to shake taylor out of his lethargy, no matter how hard they tried.
