I personally do not think so. Hagler and Hearns were so evenly matched that they could match each other in hand speed and connects, which if you see in the punches thrown. Hearns threw 83 punches in round one and Hagler 82. Very even fighters. I would be surprised if Hatton and Pacman threw the same amount or near it. If Hatton is able to connect as often as Pacman the fight will probably be his.

I expect this fight to go beyond 3 rds and not have the sustained action so NO.

Nahh, both guys will come at each other hard but there will be some tactical strategy to their aggression, they won't just come in swinging for the fences.

Besides, Hatton clinches a whole lot and that takes away from the action of the fight.

I think Hagler/Hearns also happened that way because at the time neither Hagler or Hearns liked each other. They went on a nationwide press tour and got on each other's nerves the whole way. So by fightime they were absolutely hating each other. And this was after they had a fight scheduled for May of 1982 and Hearns backed out, which infuriated Hagler and started the bad blood. So I think it was natural they would go for broke. I do not think that was strategy. Someday it will happen again where two great fighters go for broke again. Later, Hagler and Hearns being friendly with each other now and Hagler hates Leonard. So that changed.

Pacman could stop Hatton in 3 but he will have to set down and stand right in front of Ricky to do it and that give Ricky the chance also. I see more Pacman using his jab to peck at Ricky and wear him out and slowly take over and get a mid rounds stoppage.
