I'm certain the guy will fight again. He's just too crazy to retire, in his mind he still thinks he can beat anybody. I don't know what it will take for this guy to retire, but likely getting beat within an inch of his life won't be enough.

Why not loaded or not loaded Margarito will always give any top fighter problems esp. at 154.

    When has he ever boxed?

All he ever does in the ring is cheat or become someone's punching bag that doesnt qualify as boxing.

He should just turn into a raving drunkard, and get into a bunch of bar fights down in Tiajuana.

That will keep him happy, and keep him away from public view at the same time. I win - win if ever there was one.

The real question is will he ever win again? (at anything like top level)

With the likely answer being no, why bother? He aint getting any better, and the beatings arent making him any smarter.

if he doesn't want to see for the rest of his life, then he'll fight if he's got any brains he'll know it's time to hang up the gloves

he gave pac and cotto problems?

If anything after those beatings he's going to be even more pathetic.

Margarito was once a great fighter at the top tier of 147

since Mosley he was never quite the same, took some beatings and some long layoffs and now his eye does not hold up

sad to see a warrior go like this but i think its really time to hang them up, im not the sort of fan that says retire but i think its time, his eye vs Cotto was ****ed up by what round 2 or 3 and he hardly took anymore punishment than other fights in his career and he eye was done

He should stop while he has money and a family, why blow your career because of eye problems

if anything he can fight easy pay days milk his career a little make money win gain some pride and quit a winner

why get another pounding, i think its in story because if his eye shuts in round 2 or 3 vs any elite he is in trouble

The piece of **** should never nave been allowed to fight aftrer getting caught with loded handwraps! just check out what hapened to Irish BillyCollins against Luis resto ! He could have seriously hurt or killed Shan mosley ! steroids are cheating too , but loaded hand wraps are a weapon and far more dangerous ! i was once a Mrgarito fan , even went to the Mosley fight ! Today , i have not a good word for Antonio Margarito ! **** him , bob arum and top rank for licensing a cheater and a fraud !

I have a feeling Cintron will get his revenge on Margarito before his career is over

I hate to defend the guy, but honestly fighting Manny at 150 was not a good idea esp. since he admitted it was very hard for him to make that weight and lets not forget the layoff and only having a tune up with Garcia. Even Manny at one point admitted he had to dig real deep in round 8 if im not mistaken. Margarito did get outperform by Cotto, but he was still landing shots here and there and kept the pressure. Any other fighter could have been in real trouble. Im not saying he could beat the other top guys at 154, but it could be very interesting seeing him with those other guys and see what happens.

Why are some of you guys saying he could easily get a fight in Mexico? Do Mexican commissions not give a **** about the health of fighters?
