Will Margarito Outweigh Manny More Than Oscar Did Against Floyd?

Margarito will prob be around the same difference as Pac/JMM II.
(Where Manny outweighed JMM by 15lbs or more)

 

Margo will have a much, much bigger advantage in height, reach and weight.

I expect Margo to be 165-170 come fightnight. I expect Manny to be 147-148. That's 20lbs.

On fightnight, I'd guess Floyd was around 150ish and Oscar around 155-160. Far, far less.

Floyd was much closer to Oscar in terms of reach, height, and natural size as well.

Both Floyd and Oscar started as superfeathers remember, and have fought in all of the same weight classes (except for Oscar's two middleweight fights where he was horribly undersized).


Margarito is a natural welter, Pac started at light-fly and is probably a natural feather/superfeather.

I can't remember if official fightnight weights were given in that fight, but I know that Marquez has weighed around 141 before when he weighed in as a superfeather.

Both fighters looked the same size to me that night. I'd say Manny was a maximum of 4-5 pounds heavier than JMM, I'd guess at JMM being 139-141 and Manny being 143-144.
