I know fans respect Martinez, but boxing industry treats him like a dog!

Screwed over by judges (and ref) vs Cintron... As reigning MW champ, he's forced to accept a catch-weight... and take less money than the challenger... and get introduced first (Goosen ***** shot)... and Manny Steward's bull**** commentary! etc etc.

Why the fk is Sergio Martinez the "Rodney Dangerfield" of boxing? I don't get it? Are they so desparate for an "American" boxing idol, that nobody else will do... no matter how much he brings to the game??? :huh

All hail THE middle-weight champion of the world!

Maybe he's a guy too good for the industry. Even his promoter Lou DiBella rather enjoyed the revenge than the win itself. But the lowest they drag him the brigther he'll shine, and that's something totally unique in boxing today. He's an anomaly in a dirty business, and may we get a dozen more like him!
