Will Maskaev be too rusty to beat Peter?

peter's chin is quite good, not rock solid like previously thought but still good. he got badly wobbled by wlad in the 12th if wlad hadn't taken a step backwards after the punch he would have finished him. still he took some bombs because he knew wlad had great power. he totally underestimated mccline, that's why he got knocked down. and you got to give mccline credit for his fighting style in the first half of the fight.
against maskaev he will be mentally prepared, he just has to box and the first time he connects properly maskaev will be hurt, then he will chase him and take him out.

I think its a brave fight to take after being so long inactive.. Maskaev is a strong guy but needs better work if he is to beat Samuel.. Peter is a good fighter , and has had to wait too long not to succeed.....

If McCline can floor Peter and bounce him off the canvas repeatedly, Maskaev will take him out.

Maskaev proved his doubters wrong when he took Rahman out, again, and regardless of how Rahman is, now, when Oleg rematched him, he was probably harder to beat than Peter is.

Good points. Ive been saying Peter would lose by UD to Oleg Maskaev. But now after this McCline fight, I have a boost in confidence that Maskaev might even TKO him!

At first I thought there is no way that Maskaev could get close to beating Sam Peter.

But Wen I saw how Peter could get hurt in his last fight, my opinion has changed.

I give old Maskaev a fighting chance to pull off the upset.

Who knows with this fight. How can you even be sure this fight is ever gonna happen? This is a terrible fight to bet on because who knows how the rust will affect both men.

Before the delay, I called this a pick'em fight with a SLIGHT edge to Oleg, the most likely outcome being a narrow UD.

At this point, I wouls be a little surer in that opinion, and I would toss in the fair possibility of an OLeg KO victory.

Still with Sam's power and Oleg's inconsistent jaw, I wouldn't bet anything on it.
