he turned me in to a fan on the hatton v pac undercard. First time I saw him fight, and damn was I impressed. Speed, power, the whole package.

 

Seen two fights and I am very impressed. I think he certainly can.

 

This kid took a huge step up in only his 5th pro fight by fighting a guy with 34 fights under his belt. He looked good; real good. Throws every punch in the book, good hand speed, good footwork, doesn't look susceptible to the normal jab-right-hand southpaw killer, decent chin so far.

He looks like he can move up through the ranks pretty quickly. I think he could already beat the McGirt kid. Give him a couple on that level, and then throw him in with an old war horse like McKart or someone on that level. Or, am I moving up to fast?

He's 26 and probably at least two years from a title shot. If he can make 160 at 26, I imagine he'll be able to make 160 at 28. By that time KP and AA will be gone from 160, and the division will be dead as a door nail. Considering what we've seen so far, his first world title should come fairly easily.

Like everyone else, I believe that Korobov will, at least, win a major alphabet title at either 160 or 168.

As for the Lara fight, it seems like Korobov might naturally be a weight class larger than the impressive Cuban prospect. There is a height difference of four inches, and I think Lara might stay at 154 for a bit before going to 160. By that time, I bet Korobov will be at 168.

 

Agreed. Outside of Pacquiao, Korobov gave the most inspiring and impressive performance that night. If he keeps it up he has a very bright future, and at least one world title is certainly not out of the question.
