It is no secret that Kellerman strongly favors the hip-hop urban athletes, while at the same time has gone out of his way to be-little non-American fighters promoted out of Germany.

Max Kellerman, Lennox Leiws, and Bob Papa will have the call.

The question is this. Will Kellerman be fair in his pre and post fight analysis about Povektin or not?

I doubt he will be negative towards Povetkin b/c HBO obviously have developed a great interest towards him, and probably looking to add him to their roster.

If Povetkin does good enough I doubt Kellerman could make that many negative statements. It's not like Chambers will be considered "washed up" if Povetkin wins. I'm not too sure what kind of fighters Kellerman favors, but it's easy to notice he has favoritism that goes beyond just how the fighter is fighting.

I'm glad someone else noticed this. Kellerman is very educated about boxing and boxing's history, but he really has a lot of biases.

Nope - he'll just call it how he sees it.

    I think he's pretty fair.

IMO Kellerman can make up for some good analysing stuff but what annoys me is that he hypes fighters way too much. In one of his break downs about the middleweight division (must have been happened when Taylor fought Spinks) he even praised Abraham over the skies when he learned that the Armenian fought on with a broken jaw vs. Miranda.

If he would stop his blatant hypejobs, he could become some pretty good TV-commentator down the line...

I believe he will be because Povetkin's Amateur and career successes to date command respect.

But what does Kellerman really know about the Amatuer's? Look for Max to go negatvie, unless Povetkin puts on a great performance.

It's still hard to believe HBO hired such a piece of garbage to be a commentator.

    - He nuthugs old school fighters

    - He nuthugs black fighters by preferance

    - He nuthugs runners

    - He has ethnic bias over Eastern Europeans

    - He has a bias against certain styles, even if the fighter is excellent

    - His personality is utterly obnoxious and he's not as knowledgable as he thinks he is.

Ugh, I hope they get rid of that joke.

That's true, he says whatever he wants to, regardless. He feels very secure in his job for some reason.

He's talked trash on the Klitschkos, Hatton, and Pavlik in the past - I'm sure he'll be unfairly negative about Sasha too.

Does anyone have footage of that time he was forced to admit he hadn't seen a Wladimir Klitschko fight he was criticising? It's old.
