I hate it when HBO recycles the old fighters over and over again.

Now dont get me wrong. I am a big Campbell fan, as well as a big Mayorga fan. But outside of Eastside and Max and the Pound, who the hell knows who Angulo, or Campbell or Santos or Martinez are? Mayorga? He is somewhat more well known, or the "star" of this card, but he holds no Titles. Nate Campbell could walk around the MGM Grand on a non fight weekend, in streetclothes and would be virtually unrecognizeable. These guys wont get the "Big Bucks" until Superfights are signed. And Mayo needs to win, and win big and win some Titles if he wants to get paid like a Superstar.

The fire that Mayorga used to have in his belly diminished the minute he made his first million.

A GBP fighter always needs a comeback opponent, so yes, he will continue.

He will fight again. He'll lose all his money and become broke and he'll have to fight again.

Who really cares. Anyone who has studied boxing for years knows that Mayorga is overrated and most guys want to fight him who want his name on their resume. He is like Juan Roldan of the 1980s and probably not as good as Roldan, since Mayorga would have never knocked down Marvin Hagler like Roldan did. Mayorga loses to anyone who is really good. We have seen what he can do and what he can't. It does not matter who he fights anymore. The guy is overrated.

No I do not think they were that good. Not when you are talking HOF or ATG, those guys do not come close. Forrest was ok, but had good wins over Mosley and that is about it. Picirillo? That name does not prove much for Mayorga. Vargas has and always will be a overrated and easy to counter. A little like Mayorga-guys wanted to fight him because he was a challenge but he eventually folded. Also when Mayorga beat Vargas, that was not Vargas at his best. Andrew Lewis? You think he is someone who makes Mayorga a HOF fighter? You really think Mayorga was great if you take his wins into consideration? I do not. I think he was the most undiciplined overrated fighters in the last 10 years whom other fighters wanted to fight because he was exciting but at the same time open to be countered by the better fighters.
