Will Mayweather ever accept 60-40 to fight Pacquiao?

  1. I thought Manny was the attraction in the Hatton fight? That's why 25000 are in America right now.

There is no argument for Manny to have more than Floyd. If they want to do 60:40 - winner takes bigger split.

I can not agree, what you call cherry picking I call options which is what Floyd has options, and there are plenty out there for him to chose from.

Pac on the other hand is limited in his option if he should beat Hatton, who else is there other then Cotto.

Floyd has after marquez has , shane , cotto, Hatton ,spinks and Andre Berto.
I doubt Arum is going to allow pac to fight ether of these fighter other then Cotto, which he represent both fighters.

No other fighter other then Floyd is going to generate the type of purse Manny and his camp is looking for other then Floyd. There is way too much buzz about the possibility of these Future Hall of famers meeting for Pac to be greedy and agree to the 50 split.

Floyd at this point in his career does not need Pac does need floyd, Floyd fighting pac would be just gravy he really does not get any recognition for fighting a smaller guy. Floyd can fight Shane get the money he wants and add a FHOF fighter to his resume.

Pac on the other hand, should he beat floyd would seal his legacy at age 29 and retire to the sideline and not un-retire unless the amount of money is worth his while.

based on that alone Pac has more the Gain from a floyd fight then Floyd from fighting Pac. 50/50

This is a natural 50/50 split and given the money involved (especially compared to the other options for both fighters), it'll happen as such. Arum's just yapping. No way he'd walk away from the money that fight would generate.

Then they have to agree on weight... it'll take them weeks to sort out 143 or 144.

60/40 in his favor, i'm sure he'll fight ... it'll be the biggest payday of Manny's career so i'm sure he'll do what it takes to make the fight.

Mayweather would have to get the majority of PPV revenue and the gate .... yeah Manny is a big draw, but it would be even bigger because of what Mayweather brings to the table. (undefeated record and the desire to see if someone can beat this guy)

Pac will get at least 60%. floyd is not a draw he does not bring in the big numbers, floyd piggybacked off of Oscar and Hatton and Arum is too smart to get floyd piggy back off Pac.

Other than Hatton there is no one else that would be a big enough draw against Pacquiao ... any who fights Floyd stands to make the highest payday of their careers and I doubt if Pacquiao will campaign at welterweight again. So there's no chance of matching him up with Cotto or Margarito or Mosley ... and they can't give him the type of purse that he's looking for.

Golden Boy and HBO will play mediator between Mayweather and TopRank _

Against Mayweather Pacquiao stands to have atleast 1m buys and 10+ million dollar purse. ( More than what he made against DLH)

No matter if he's the draw or not, more people will be tuning in to see if he's the guy to give Mayweather his first defeat, anything else is irrelevant. And remember that Pacquiao didn't do so hot #'s wise against Diaz ...

If Hatton wouldn't taker a lower cut, there's no way Mayweather does.

PBF vs Pac will eventually be signed. Don't worry. Both of these guys want this fight. It's the whole reason Floyd is even taking the Marquez fight. After a long debate over splits, I think both sides will eventually agree on 50/50 or 55/45. This fight will happen, people. stop sweatin it... well.. I mean.. as long as Pac beats Hatton and Floyd beats Marquez, neither are guarantees but more than likely will happen.

why would it take weeks to sort out weight? Pac's already taken a fight at 147. And with Mayweather fighting JMM at 144, weight would not be any factor here.
