Will Mayweather fight the winner of Canelo-Trout in September?

No. He won't fight the winner in September. If the winner is Trout, he won't fight him at all. Floyd doesn't fight for legacy.

I don't know what you're talking about.

I agree that Canelo hasn't fought anyone at 154, but there's no doubt that he wants the Worlds best fighter.

Now he's getting criticism from all angles.

He gets criticised for not fighting anyone, but when he speaks up and says he'll appear on Floyd's card if he can meet him later if they both win in May, he then gets criticising for making demands.

He should be applauded for going after Floyd.

If you think his resume is weak, then get off his back when he's trying to secure a fight with Floyd in September.

Now I realise that nobody is going to sign a contract, and nobody can predict the future. But Canelo was going to appear on the May card, after a verbal agreement from Floyd that he'd be willing to fight in September.

Now it seems that Floyd has changed his mind altogether.

So Canelo has said "Right! If I can't fight you afterwards in Sept, if we're both successful, I'll fight on my own card."

So he's pulled out.

But instead of you criticising KING Floyd for backing out of his verbal agreement, you're instead criticising Canelo.

Why??

It's obvious that Canelo is frustrated, and he wants the fight if he beats Trout.

Instead of kissing Floyd's ass, and making excuses for him, you should be applauding Canelo's ambition.

You can't criticise Canelo's resume, but then also criticise him for trying to fight Floyd. You can't do both. It's ridiculous!

All the reports that I'm reading, are stating that Canelo has only backed out of Floyd's card, because Floyd has backed out of a verbal agreement that they had, that they could both potentially meet in Sept if they were both successful.

Canelo was originally put on the card, in the hope that both winners would end up fighting.

Now Floyd's backed out, it doesn't make sense for Canelo to boost the PPV ratings.

If Floyd hadn't have backtracked, Canelo would happily have fought in May.

So Floyd can't take it personal.

Canelo spoke today on ESPN. He said that 2 years ago, May wanted to make the fight vs Canelo. But Canelo felt he wasn't ready. Now that he want's it, Canelo said that May "se empeso a poner sus monos". Basically saying that he started getting ridiculous and backed off from his word.

I don't think it's personal at all though. It was just business. People here are exaggerating.

It's been running through the rumor mill that mayweather was going to fight Guerrero an Alvarez this year he's fighting Guerrero now, seeing as that fight has yet to take place why are people arguing about a fight that more than likely will take place in November being signed in march when both have fights coming up in April, an May respectively if June/July comes around and there still at odds then complain all you want. But for now how many guys sign on to fights before taking care of the fight they have coming up

That means that Floyd was willing to fight a younger, weaker Canelo for less money.

But now Canelo is older, stronger, more popular, who would generate more money now, than what he would have done 2 years ago, Floyd doesn't want it?

If it was business, Floyd would have wanted the fight now, not 2 years ago. That doesn't make sense.

This doesn't look good for Floyd. It adds weight to the argument that he doesn't like taking risks.

 

I'd personally like to see it, because I think it's a great clash of styles, and Canelo will go on to achieve great things.

I think he would be a genuine threat to Floyd.

He's young, hungry, and unbelievably strong.

It would also do great PPV, I think it would excite a lot of fans.
