yes, he sure will. he avoided all risks along the way. he refused to fight Pac, and that in of itself is poor for someone aspiring to be an atg.

Rubbish, avoided pac? the man who says 10 MILLION DOLLARS PENALTY! Floyd says yes, and that skunt runs from a drug test when asked. Who was running from who? now he wants that same test. GTFOH

He'll go down as a an ATG. yes, people will wonder if he could have achieved more. It'll be similar to the Roy Jones situation in these ways.

Only problem is, this is YOUR opinion. The opinion of the boxing experts is that Floyd ducked Pac. We have technology nowadays so you could actually research and confirm what the experts believe. Guess who will be telling the story down the generation? You, or the experts?

He will go down as an absolute great, but his name will always be accompanied by questions. If he had fought Cotto and Pacquiao at their apex, and beaten them, he would have been a very strong pick for the best fighter to ever live, but his refusal (or at least hesitance) to endure these tests will always haunt his legacy. I know his fans don't want to hear that, but it is the truth.

cotto at his apex didn't want any...he just admitted it.

As for Pac...he didn't want any either.

He refused a 5050 split and a 14 day cutoff.
"14 day too close....I still in hebby hebby trainy"

Maria Sharapova doesn't need 14 minutes to recover from random testing.:deal

Mayweather has won the pineal title in 4 of the 5 divisions he has won world titles in. That says it all really about his standing and legacy. If Pacquiao and Bob Arum wanted the fight they would have taken the test. Floyd has beaten better fighter than Pacquiao such as Arquez who knocked Pacquiao out and beat Shane Mosley who destroyed Margarito yet you have idiots claiming he was afraid of Margarito when in reality he would put Margarito in hospital.

I was typing this long ass analysis and lost it . . . lol. Basically I think he may be considered in the top ten because of discussions just like this and it is impossible to rank today's fighters based on past standards because the business of boxing has change over time. I think very few will remember him for the fighters he has not fought (because you cannot fight everyone) rather than the ones he has and how he performed in those fights. His legacy will out live all the irrational hate he has stirred up.

He will be remembered as the best of this era hands down and the only "what ifs" that will remain is what if he fought the four kings? what if he fought SRR? What if he fought the other fighters his actual natural size . . . superfeatherweight . . . like Azumah Nelson, Alexis Arguello, etc.

Regardless where people rank him he will be the Box Office king today, one of the sports most controversial, skilled and talked about figures
