Maidana will be lucky to win a single round, he's taylor made for Floyd.

There is only one way for Maidana to win this fight and that is too hurt Floyd early, either stopping him right there or hurting him badly thus changing the fight in his favor, that way he could then go on to drop him some more. Can't see Chino winning, although i would love it.

I think Maidana's awkward punching style will test Mayweathers defence more than outright speed would. Maidana is also willing to take punishment to fire back as he has shown in the ortiz fight where he was bounced off the canvas a couple of times. I honestly think mayweather would have an easier time with Khan. Khans offence is far more predictable and he isn't disciplined enough to fight a running fight against Floyd. Besides if Julio Diaz can deal with Khans speed than you can bet your house that Floyd can deal with it.

Nah this will go 12 rounds, not because maidana is better than gatti but because floyd is a different fighter now, plus maidana doesn't swell up like gatti did.

    Nope.

Floyd is too old to be that dominant anymore.

10-2 Floyd with a few close (feel out) early rounds.

I don't think so. It will be the standard Mayweather ud. He might give Maidana 2 or three rounds, but then it's over. Gatti had a lot of mileage at that point and I think Maidana will be able to apply more effective pressure for a longer time than Gatti, but Maidana is so overmatched I can't even give him a punchers chance cuz he's gonna be missing all night long.

It might resemble Gatti/Mayweather. Maidana can fight, but Floyd discourages that kind of thing by not being hit cleanly. Imagine winging shots all night and hitting his shoulder, elbows and air, only to receive a crisp 1-2 for your trouble.

The way I see it is:
Feel out rounds 1 & 2, Maidana winning (based on activity).
Round 3: Maidana ups his pressure, thinking he can capitalize on the close first couple of rounds. Floyd wins round 3 but barely.
Round 4: Maidana pours it on, thinking he can bust him up. Maybe he takes it on activity but doesn't hurt May, but it's a kind of moral victory.
Round 5: Chino is now tired after expending a bunch of energy in the first 4 rounds. Mayweather, who took 2 of the first 4 picks him apart for the rest of the fight. And by picks him apart I mean, lands crisp effective punches as Maidana is walking forward not throwing anything.
In round 12: Maidana will try and finish strong, mustering the last of his reserves but it's far too little, far too late, he'll have a busted up face but he'll be okay. Mayweather will look like he always does.

    I'm thinking more Chipping Sodbury.

No. He's not aggressive like that anymore. I always said 140 would have been the perfect weight for him if he'd stayed a little longer. He's going to beat Maidana, but not brutally

After the six round it could very well possibly go that route in favor of Mayweather given that Maidana, as tough as he is, is known to tire a bit late in fights and as he actually did against Broner but held on to win a convincing decision and with it Maidana is certainly no Sergio Martinez when it comes to stamina.

My prediction is "Money" Mayweather, clicking on all cylinders from the Canelo fight both defensively and offensively, will impressively record a 10th or 11th round knockout on May 3rd over Maidana!

No. Floyd will be cautious the first few rounds against Maidana due to his power. He won't pressure him like he did Gatti (RIP) who really could not hurt him. He'll slowly break him down and I think stop him, primarily due to Maidana's warrior spirit.

Maidana will look wild and crude. Floyd will cruise to a boring UD 12.
