Will Mayweather-Pacquiao look somewhat like the Hopkins-Calzaghe?

I am not saying exactly like the fight that the two light heavyweights fought. Mayweather is not exactly a clinch fanatic like Hopkins and Pacquiao carries more power in his punches than does Calzaghe (for their respective weight classes).

However, Mayweather does mirror Hopkins in that he is speedy and is crafty with his counter punches and a defensive genius. He is also economical in his punch output. Pacquiao is like Calzaghe in that he is southpaw and fights at various angles when he is throwing punches in his attack as well as speedy and a frenetic workrate.

What is everybody else's thought on this comparison?

It will be like the battle between a ***** and a vagina. It will be tight, it will be hard, but in the end the dick always (Mayweather) prevails.

The way I see it, this would be a true test to Mayweather. Everyone can look good when they're fighting people that aren't at that elite level. As compared to Pacquaio who fights the top contenders, he has proved what he can do

Only similar in that Pac throws a lot more punches than Mayweather. Calzaghe didn't really throw "punches" though..

If JMM adds some quality muscle to his frame, and weighs in at a 'solid' 144, then I think this fight has the potential to be similar to MAB-Hamed, with JMM winning a close but clear decision.

First and foremost let me reiterate that I didn't say exactly but that it may look similar.

Second, let me also mention some other dissimilarities where the comparison does not work. Mayweather will not fade in the late rounds like an elder Hopkins and Pacquiao has power and speed whereas Calzaghe is all speed with little to no power.
