 Floyd is hated. Nearly any victory is he gets is flawed.

    Cotto shot/finished.
    Mosley old.
    Pac too small.

I'll give him huge credit just for getting in the ring with any of those guys you've mentioned.

:rofl:rofl:rofl. you have a point. you know, if you are angling for a fight, there would be a lot of saber wratling involved.

as far as the 3 aforementioned fighters are concerned, pbf has not been very vocal about it lately.

    pbf-jmm. :yep:hey

I can't see Floyd fighting Cotto if he beats Pacquiao, and Mosley is bringing all sorts of problems.

I wonder how he's going to get out of this one without looking like a *****.

He avoided the welterweights for a reason remember.

If Pacquiao doesn't beat Cotto, Floyd is ****ED.

Some of you have taken this "ducking" nonsense way too far. Mayweeather is clearly about getting the most money that he possibly can, and he's pretty much broke at the moment. Floyd vs Pac is the biggest fight that can be made in boxing. Frankly, I don't think that there's anyway that this fight doesn't happen.

Yeah, I do. It was the huge paydays he got against Hatton and DLH which were several times higher than all of his previous purses combined. There's NO WAY he doesn't fight Pacquiao.

What will happen in the ring will prove otherwise if that fight ever happen.

Guess it's Floyd who will be the first one to declare that... Floyd will claim PAC avoided him and since PAC is the only win-win fight for him (according to him) and everybody else is a lose-lose fight then Floyd will just run back to retirement...

Floyd maybe can also run for US congress to avoid Mosley and Cotto...

Well, if Cotto does beat Pac and PBF does retire then it just confirms what everyone has criticised him for since becoming a welter. Persoanlly, I think he'll find a way out of the Cotto fight, should he beat Pac. He'll probs say 'Cotto isn't PPV'. Yeah, like Mosley isn't PPV either!

    Absolute bollocks.

Floyd skipped Cotto, Mosley and Margarito for more pressing concerns than 'Oscar and Hatton made more money'. Oscar and Hatton couldn't catch him and he knew it.

If Cotto beats Pacquiao, will Floyd be a man and get in the ring with Cotto? I can't see it happening.

Are you purposely missing the point of the thread?

Everyone knows Mayweather is after a payday with Pacquiao.

I'm speculating on what happens when Cotto beats Pacquiao. Mayweather is scared of the welterweight division as an entire package.

I want to see what happens - will he fight Pacquiao anyway despite being the loser, will he fight Marquez or another lower weight challenge, or just run back into retirement.

Or is he serious about his legacy and taking some real challenges.

Damn! Unfortunately I don't see the Mosley vs Floyd Fight coming off unless GBP can offer Floyd a nice purse.....in the range of $20Mill. I don't think Floyd is scared, but he's cautious and intelligent. Shane is a threat although I feel he'd be able to outbox Shane. Floyd just marches to the beat of his own drum which is all about the $$$. If Cotto beats PAC Floyd will fight Cotto that is for sure. And that is a possiblility b/c Cotto is a very good fighter who is and will be bigger & stronger than PAC. But you know my stance.....Great lil man vs a very good BIG man....Great man will win 90% of the time.

That's how I'm looking at it. It would have to be a BIG money fight for Floyd to take that risk.

It's part of being the best in the game. All of the TOP boxers in this sport are unfairly critisized for their accomplishments. When its all said and done Floyd will be appreciated. He just doesn't make it easy with his cocky personality and huge ego he sports. But there is no denying greatness when it's proven in the ring. Floyd has done that based on sheer skills, talent and perfromance against all the fighters who failed to best him. Respect is deserved without question.

By the way....PAC goes through the same ****. DLH old, Ricky shot or some BS about weak Punch resistance, JMM he lost, EM MAB where past their primes. ALI, Leonard, Duran, LL, Tyson...they all had the same critisims thrown their way during their careers.
