    Yes,
I know this is not like him, but he is going to make a statement. He will stop him via Hatton. I see Ortiz with swollen eyes taking way too many punches. 11 Rd TKO.

I can't wait to see the ref look the other way so Hatton can jump in the ring and sucker punch Ortiz

Floyd will only open up enough to stop Ortiz if one of his single shots gets Ortiz in big trouble, which is possible, but unlikely. His style is just too oriented towards safety-first boxing. So I doubt he stops him. And regardless of what happens, people talking about Floyd putting on a Gatti-level dominant performance are nuts. Floyd isn't that fighter any more, he hasn't done that against non-threats, and the current version of Ortiz is way better than that version of Gatti.

It all depends on whether Floyd is willing to pull the trigger. If he does pull the trigger then he definately can stop Ortiz, if he gets cautious (as he does a lot now) then he won't.

  8. Mayweather doesn't carry much pop at Welterweight. He has good snap in his punches, but he's not a brutal puncher at the weight. Money May will trounce Ortiz in a one-sided decision.

Its certainly possible, Mayweather has all the tools to do so, at the very least force a TKO. But...It's Mayweather we're talking about, a guy who's more 'saftey first' and comfortable with cruising to a UD than Wlad Klitschko. I predict this will be a frustrating fight, I'll be screaming in russian at the tv for Mayweather to end the fight but he will toy with Ortiz and win a UD, similar to the Mosley fight, or really any other Mayweather fight other than the Hatton/Gatti fights (those guys allowed themselves to be stopped)...

Yeah, I think so. Likely a stoppage by the referee or Ortiz's corner.

Yes.. Ortiz will eat too many punches and his corner will do the right thing and stop the fight in the later rounds when they realize he has NO chance at winning.. Ortiz will collect a nice little paycheck and say "hey it a great experience and how he'll be back better then ever blah blah blah".

I was expecting the naive, "Berto hits harder than Ortiz but couldn't stop him, so how will Mayweather?" argument. Well done to the posters who didn't disappoint.

Yes, this is why this fight was made.
Mayweather KO 8 or 9 by left hook (check hook style).

    I see a Hatton-like fight.
