I know that supposedly Roger Mayweather and Shaefer stated that he isn't taking a year off... but we haven't heard Mayweather take that Statement back.

With news that both sides have come to an agreement regarding the Mayweather vs Pacquiao Superfight... Mayweather's first words since have been about his 3 session summer camp at his gym. Not a single word about Pacquiao or the fight from Floyd.

I am not feeling optimistic in regards to this fight happening this year if ever... in that one interview a month or so ago, Floyd makes it seem like fighting in 2010 would not happen and that he wanted to "feed the homeless" and focus on his foundation and take a year or two off of boxing.

I personally find it hard to believe that Floyd would take a year off to focus on helping others... Anyone else have a feeling that this fight just won't happen?

wouldn't be surprised. Pac only plans to fight one more time, and this year. What better way to duck the fight?

I don't really buy that either though , I would bet that them saying that was to put pressure on Mayweather

There's no point in talking time off for him. If he's serious, may as well retire.

    Why not?

Who is there to fight at WW that people REALLY think there is a chance of him losing to?

-- Paul Williams? Needs to fight and look good at least once at WW.
    -- Margarito? Yeah right.
    -- Berto? Yeah right.
-- Bradley? Too small (according to *******s).
-- Alexander? Too small (according to *******s).

Barring people who know boxing, there aren't any "great" fights out there if Pac doesn't want to tango. Granted he can make some serious pocket change fighting any of those guys, but they do nothing for his legacy.

If Mayweather was serious about taking a year off or so, he wouldn't be negotiating.

Mayweather hasn't said anything in a while. He's trying to negotiate a fight in private this time like Arum asked, which is extremely uncharacteristic for Floyd to comply with him.I give him props for doin' his talkin' privately like Arum asked. Now if Arum would just Shut the **** up.

per recent news, all of the issues have been resolved, the only issue left is when the fight would take place (November 13). Floyd still hasn't given the ok to fight this year. :think

Nothing surprising here. Every time he dealt with Team Pac he has been quiet. It is Team Pac who is CONSTANTLY in the press. Even when they specifically say they won't be. :patsch

    Source?

I will tell you what your source is. An AP (Associated Press) article that has been recycled a 1000 times all over the net that quotes Bob Arum only. :bart

Gander you are the biggest ******* on the planet. :blood

Void fights for money. No money means no one will be seeing him fight. Void is Void.

WTF are you talking about? Will you please refute what I wrote?

Guys like you are the reason good second tier fights aren't made. All you do is find a way to complain. JMM is too small! Bradley is too small! Really? So now since there are no WWs on the horizon who should he fight? Idiot.

I can care less what he is paid, however I am man enough to understand that boxing is a job. Like all jobs if the pay sucks you don't do the job. Then again a guy like you probably doesn't have a pot to **** in so you don't understand that logic.
