As we all know shortly after HBO ran a promo for Mayweather Marquez 24/7 Mayweather pulled out of the schuled July 18 fight. A new date has yet to be anounced. Will it be reschuled? My take is it depends on what Pacquiao dose next. It is my belief that Mayweather/Marquez was set at 144lbs because Mayweather is targeting Pacquio at that or lesser weight. Pacquiao has been rourmed to be in talks with Cotto as well as Mosley for catch weight fights A weight as high as 145lbs has been roumered. If Pacquio dose fight at 145 and win it means that a Mayweather/Pacquaio fight can take place at 145 or 147 and there is no reason for Mayweather to face Marquez or anyone else at 144. If Cotto or Mosley beats Pacquiao than the match up would be Cotto or Mosley/Mayweather at 147. I can see Mayweather also taking some kind of tune up fight at 147 before hand.
