Buffer and Lennon don't have contracts with HBO and Showtime, they just go where they are payed.
Lennon did plenty of HBO fights and Buffer did plenty of Showtime fights.
''It's showtime'' just sounds beter while said on Showtime.

$50,000, first class tickets and first class hotel, is what it costs to have Buffer. I heard that somewhere, could have been on German TV...
I remember him in 1971 from LA boxing.

Yep good Holywood plastic surgon's, and he keeps himself in shape.

He doesn't say it for non-Showtime fights I don't think.

At least not for fights shown in the USA.

I remember Lennon say that complete "It's Showtime" phrase when he did the intros for some German ProSieben fightcards featuring Susi Kentikian two years ago.

It's rare to even see him on HBO, but I can't recall him ever saying it when he was. I'm trying to remember if he said it for Pavlik-Rubio (TR PPV) but I can't really put my finger on it. I do know that I wish we had Buffer in Youngstown and NYC got Lennon...

He usually switches to, "It's fight time" when he's not on Showtime.
