Why do you keep repeating this bull****? Paul offered him an immediate rematch and it was him who decided to fight Pavlik, since WIlliams-Pavlik wasn't gonna happen.

Neither guy is ducking the other.

As far as the thread topic, Cotto should and will avoid Sergio at all costs. My opinion - He simply has no way of wining this fight, as he has absolutely no real advantages. Not handspeed, movement, power, stamina, chin, workrate, height, reach, ...nothing.

I have no problem with the idea of Martinez taking on an easy touch next time out. 36 rounds with Cintron, Williams, and Pavlik:yikes

After that I'd like to see a rematch with PW.

He still has timing and cutting the ring will help and of course Manny in his corner. I like both fighters, but you would be surprised if the fight was actually competitive. I think it will be competitive. Cotto just arrived at 154 so lets wait to see which big name they are going after. It might possibly be Mr. Martinez.

Cotto doesn't avoid and as he said only big names... There is also a difference from naming fighters and actually signing contracts. :good

Martinez went from Cintron to Williams to Pavlik. If anyone deserves a break it's him.

Cotto is a world champ. It's a travesty that boxing has been reduced to the state where champs are expected to fight lesser guys because those fights are 'winnable'

That being said... He should avoid Martinez at all costs:lol:
