Are you saying he was outweighed by ortiz by at least 15 pounds?

15 pounds would be like watching Pac vs. Margarito, the weigh difference would be really noticeable, or Gatti vs. Gamache.

Oh I get it, Gayweather just looks big but he is actaully light in terms of weight!!!! His density is less than every boxer known to man.

Never. And that will definitely prove that Mayweather has won strength but on the backpedal like with check left hooks and sharp right counters. Never forcing his way, not even with his stiff jab.

Mosley had great speed, power, strength, granite chin, clinch game, and his signature punch the overhand right is the punch Mayweather is most vulnerable to. Even with all of that he couldn't deter Mayweather from coming forward. Paper face Cotto(e) who has been forced back twice by guys that don't even apply educated pressure isn't going to back up?

lol @ *******s sticking with the floyd being a "runner" steriotype. dude stood his ground against 2 big punchers Ortiz and Mosley. what makes u think he fears Cottos power/size? *******s got so used to calling him a runner that they dont know how to react to him fighting in the pocket. *******s just wish he was a runner

I don't think Mayweather is stupid to do that. He's moving up and Cotto is clearly bigger than him and more powerful. Mayweather will have to fight defensive, if he goes offensive then he's going to get tagged hard. I'll be surprised if Mayweather is able to hurt or drop Cotto. I don't understand why many people are easily deceived by one fight like the Ortiz fight, Cotto is no Ortiz and Mayweather knows that he can't mess around there.

Mosley landed HARD in the 2nd round and had Mayweather in trouble, Mayweather had to quickly adapt after that.

Margarito had a huge size advantage, endless stamina, and probably loaded gloves; Pacquiao wasn't applying pressure until he changed the angle repeatedly and hurt him badly. If Mayweather pressures, it's in Cotto's interest and a probable outcome that he circles, as opposed to backpedals, since his lateral movement is much improved and integrated with his offensive tools.

Yes, and any chance he has to win will back pedal right out the door also. He needs to be the old pre Mosley Cotto to stand a chance. Walk forward and throw bombs.

Yes, he adapted by applying pressure to Mosley from the opening bell of the third round.

Weight aside, Mayweather is likely to be the physically stronger man on fight night. This is a mismatch and Mayweather will likely hurt Cotto early and often. At this point in his career Cotto would be life and death with Ortiz.
