That's what everyone's trying to figure out. No one knows for sure what Morales has left because his level of opposition has been so high. All that I can say for sure is that I believe that Morales followed a poor fight plan in the rubbermatch against Pacquaio. Morales tried to stop Pacquaio by going toe to toe, even though it didn't work in the rematch. I'll be pulling for Morales to win and set up a match against JMM to complete the legendary era.
thats a good point mate maybe he will realise he cant slug it out, so will try to box. i know he has superior skills. but his legs are shot i dont see anyway he wins this. and diaz applies a **** load of pressure moarles doesnt even have one punch ko power no way he wins this
Diaz isnt even that great, but at 135 Morales isn't a destroyer and he seemed sooooo spent in his last fight with Pac that you have to think it's gonna be a Diaz KO.
It would be one thing if Morales could fall back on finesse like Barrera has to an extent, but he never really had that to begin with. It seems like Morales just can't safely make weight anymore. The funny thing is though.... Barrera lost to Jones....then Morales beat Jones Then Barrera lost to Morales....then Barrera beat Hamed Then Barrera beat Morales....then Morales beat Chavez Then Barrera lost to Pacquaio....then Barrera beat Morales again Then Morales beat Pacquaio....then Barrera beat Juarez Then Barrera lost to Marquez....???? During the first Pacquaio/Morales match, Larry Merchant said something like...."In a certain sense, Barrera and Morales are always fighting against each other."
I think this may be the "1 fight left" in a legend, but hope he hangs it up, he is incredibly shop worn and would be destroyed @ 140
If Morales wins, you can bank on Barrera-Morales IV at 135 pounds. The perfect fight for them to both go out on. Cap legendary careers against each other. Plus, it'd be the first time in history guys had fought each other 4 times at 4 different weights and all title fights. BEsides, I don't see JMM going up to 135 and Morales is done at 130.
I don't think Morales can fight anywhere close to 12 full rounds, so his only chance is a KO, which seems unlikely at 135.
