Marginally better. Mosely doesn't wilt in the later rounds like DLH, so he'll have that going for him. But Floyd will beat him consistently with speed and counterpunching just the same. Floyd by fairly wide UD.

Look at it in his surrounding fights though he had slow feet vs Mayorga and Forbes. DLH in years prior had alot more bounce in his step even if he was pressuring a fighter.

    Nah.

No illegal hand wraps to throw off a prediction. I don't think Shane is going to get to Floyd.

DLH had some success because he stayed behind a jab and kept Floyd on the end of it. Floyd retreated to the ropes to counter DLH's jab. Mixed success of course because a good little man should rarely beat a good big man. Boring **** fight but competitive on a technical level.

One way to beat Floyd is certainly about using a jab. Something Shane doesn't use. You can either go without the jab and plan on eating punch after punch or stay behind a jab and be intelligent about it.

DLH fought the best fight he could have fought that night. Had he fought Floyd like he fought Whitaker he would have lost the fight clearly. DLH isn't like a Margarito where he'll eat punch after punch to get a counter off. Neither is Shane really. They get hit they freeze up. Its a whole different opponent.

I think Floyd has got this in the bag and he knows it.

In my objective view De La Hoya didn't do especially well. He was busy and aggressive, but upon close inspection he missed with the vast majority of his punches and did nothing truly effective overall. For that reason I'll theorize Mosley will do better.

Thing is, that Shane has a very good jab, he just doesn't use it that much, kind of like a prime Roy Jones. But problem with Shane is that he has gotten beat by every top level fighter who decided to box him whether it be Winky, Forrest, Oscar rematch or Cotto fight. Where as that was not the case with Oscar.

That's because in comparison DLH is a better boxer than Shane.

If Mosley with his style does as good as De La Hoy did against Mayweather, then PBF's 0 will go. Mayweather is going to have to be on his A game, and perform better than he did against De La Hoya to win this one. In the same respect, Mosley is going to perform better than he did in his last few fights before Margarito.

Good question but you have to remember floyd was considerably smaller that night, and it was floyds first fight at jr. middleweight he looked slower in my opinion and didnt have much pop at that weight. that said i think mosley will do MUCH better than oscar did back in 2007. maybe im in the minority but i didnt think oscar did as great as people think against floyd. oscar would throw wild 5 6 punch flurries and maybe scrape floydwith 1 or 2 punches while the rest were either blocked on the elbows and arms gloves or missed completely. oscar was aggressive but mosley will use more effective aggressivness and be more smart about it. i got floyd by decision but i wouldnt be shocked at all if mosley got the win. truly a pick em fight, i have no idea why people think floyds going to just go in there and potshot mosley all night to an easy decision.

Shane is shot just like Oscar is. If Mayorga made Shane look foolish two years ago, then...

Mayorga didn't make Shane look foolish, Shane took control of that fight after the 3rd round. Mayorga just managed to make an ugly fight out of it and he succeeded in that regard only. And lets keep in mind that Mayorga was 170 pounds on fight night so he was able to absorb Shane's punches because of that.

Mosley has a Chance to win...He is a a Top-Notch Fighter. However, even when Mosley was at the "Top-of-his-Game" back in the day, he always go hit ALOT. And as he got older he continued to get hit even more. Question: Who'd ever thought that Mosley would get taken to 12 rounds vs Mayorga and Mayorga was winning on one of the scorecards before the last-minute heroics.

In Vargas 1, Mosley was actually trailing on one of the scorecards before the fight was stopped in the 10th. Now I know that Nazim Richardson is calling the shots in Mosley's Corner...But this doesn't take away from the fact that Mosley has many flaws and makes a ton of mistakes.
