Will moving up to LWW help improve Amir Khan's punch resistance?

Will it help his punch resistance or is he forever doomed as being a "hyped up" fighter who could never take a punch?? All in all the kotelnik fight will answer this question....

Yep the fat ******* is already at 0% body fat at lightweight.

Probabl will have a better chin if Roach gets him doing the right exercises etc and makes the few pounds count. Harder punchers though.

It can probably be improved ever so slightly maybe by strengthening the neck and legs but any improvement will be cancelled out by the fact that guys at 140 hit harder

Possibly a minimal amount. Whether you'll ever be able to determine this for sure is another thing entirely because his chin is coming from such a poor level.

I'd be impressed if he could just take a few solid digs even from an average to light puncher like Kotelnik. That is without buckling at the knees like he did against MAB.

He will be facing bigger punchers the higher he goes in weight. Seeing him do that chicken dance versus prescott doesnt bode well.

No LWW punch harder than LW, Khan is going to get sparked out if he faces anyone who can hit

    Kotelnik has a respectable dig.

Theres videos of him being knocked down in the ABA's by Craig Watson and other stories of him being put over.

not true about making lightweight easy, its a struggle but not a "i dont eat and sleep in the sauna for 3 weeks" struggle.

I think Khan changed his body shape which helped and he will be able to put more weight on his legs which will improve his pucnh resistence, however the pucnhes at light welter will be bigger so it wont make much difference.

Any small improvement caused by the extra weight will be "swallowed up" by the fact that he'll be getting hit by bigger fighters.
