like they deserve... so many quality middleweights in britain, surely the domestic showdowns should start now barker has won a world title

could be some big fight nights ahead involving our middleweights
but do you they could ever cross over and become big names?

Barker should do now provided he gets past Sturm. Murray less so as he hasn't got a strap and he fights in front of fewer eyeballs.

It all depends on who they fight and how often they can get exposure, such as TV in many different countries, such as USTV..............

Household names is a bit of an overstatement there aren't many current boxers that you would class as household names. Hatton was and unfortunately khan but other than that in Britain there isn't much. Maybe froch is getting there

I'm not sure. Barker is there for the taking in my opinion. A decent opponent with pop will knock him out. GGG, Pirog. Sturms a hard defence in Germany too. Despite being IBF champion, he's still probably\arguably only 5-7 in the world.

Fair play to you, A very honest, blunt assessment of Darren Barker at last on here. One man not blinded by the Union Jack etc etc...
Concur with you about Sturm too...Darren could lose his title first defence. a fit and motivated Sturm even at his age is better that Darren, it's as simple as that, sadly for Darren, and his many fans.

Murray has no chance as he fights on BoxNation.
