I remember that sleazebag Bob Bennett lying through his teeth when being interviewed after the Rigo/Flores fight. HBO were showing him the footage of Rigo hitting Flores after the bell and he was claiming he couldn't hear it lol.

Everything about him was the archetypical example of a sleazy, corrupt politician. No surprise he used to work for the FBI. I bet he has many skeletons in his closet, possibly literally.

 

That was so damn blatant.
Worst thing was that it wasn't just clearly after the bell, it was with the referee inbetween them. The only debate should have been if it should count as deliberate (as it certainly looked that way) from Rigo. Bennett knew that according to the rules they had to disqualify Rigo, and if they let it stand as KO they could probably "correct" the issue with a NC after the fact.
Uzcat had been DQ'd for KO-ing Dirrell after the bell shortly prior to the Rigo incident, and that was questionable if it was at or slightly after the bell. And it definitely didn't look deliberate in any way. That should either have been a KO for Uzcat or a NC, certainly not a DQ.

Pretty sure as if both were the other way around we would have had different rulings. Dirrell would probably have gotten a KO win and Flores had been DQ'd on the spot. Bennett is one of these guys that make these things happen.

I knew Lawrence & his Dad Dickie for years in Texas . I don't care what ya';; say about him but he is by far more honest than Cortez,Bayless, Weekes a whole bunch more
