Oh, to make a correction, David Kamau was a title defense in 97'. After the Trinidad fight, Oscar fought Derrell Coley in 00' for the vacant WBC belt, the night of the infamous weight scale situation with the NYSAC. Gatti-Gamache was the undercard.
He will....not high up on the list like the Ray Robinsons and lenords of boxing but being on the list at all is a rare and great honor!
your shadow hangs large over some of these posters jackie boy. is there a special prescott college for these young anti-oscar boys in which you are the headmistress?:huh
I feel the duty to correct the correction - there was no title at stake between Colley and De La Hoya in NY, Feb 2000 but Hoya was announced as the WBC welterweight two time title holder in June 2000 at the Staples, LA, against Shane so there's only one thing left to say - he was designated as the WBC welter champion in between February and June 2000. I have no recollection of Hoya winning a title against Colley but I can always go to the DVD and check it out in a matter of a few minutes...
:good This will go down in ESB history as the most truthful unbiased post ever written in the years past and the years to come. It is the perfect example of exposing a mans real soul, his rise to fame with every advantage possible given to him. It's the true story of "The Golden Fishnet". A masterful piece of work.
His losses: Trinidad (Most think he win) Mosley ( Very even series, he probably should have got the split) Hopkins (Shouldn't have been fighting the guy) Mayweather (Past prime. yet only boxer to ever get a SD with one of the best p4ps ever) Only one clear decisive loss: to Bernard Wins: Paez Hernandez Leija Chavez (twice) Gonzalez Whittaker Comacho Rivera Quartey Carr Vargas Mayorga Six titles in six divisions. it depends where you draw the cutoff line for ATG Probably behind Leonard, Hearns and Duran Also behind Floyd Probably an ATG, just not the greatest.
Clear as mud and decisive as John Kerry. (I recall, in one of your more lucid moments, you allowed that Oscar did beat Tito, or should at least have had a draw.) But I know that those scorecards brought you to the supreme heights of orgasmic delight. Ironically, your vision is much clearer when you're in the lounge.
FOR WHAT ITS WORTH JACK,THIS IS SURREAL DEAL NOT PIRANHA.ITS LOGGED ON TO MY GF'S NAME.FORGOT TO CHANGE IT. SHE KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT BOXING,SHE JUST GO'S ON THE FORUM.
oscar's best performances came against guys past their primes....softened up....or previously beaten by trinidad. chavez, whitaker...past his prime carr, campas, vargas, mayorga.....all previously beaten by trinidad quartey...who was his best win i.m.o. was softened up by jose luis lopez. always the bridesmaid, never the bride.
Did he acquire a lot of respect before or after he was exposed a a guy who likes to wear makeup and wear womens clothes? A guy who likes women to get on his back, spank him and yell "giddyup Goldie". Just wondering.
