He will be 30 by the time he has the Cuadras rematch. It's going to be a gruelling fight. I have a feeling that after this fight, he's going to start to be on the downslide. After having to go to war with Cuadras, he'll have Inoue and Estrada to get through. Every single one are gruelling fights. If he gets through that, he'll be 49-0. If he finishes at 50-0, his career would be unbelievable. To put it into perspective, I'll have him down as greater than a Wilfredo Gomez. W Inoue W Cuadras x 2 W Estrada x 2 W Viloria W Niida W Arroyo W Yaegashi W Takayama W Rodriguez Jr W Number 50 aka a good name
If he faces Estrada or Cuadras again and Inoue I doubt he finishes at 50. He probably loses one of those matches. I would put my money on Inoue to be the one who beats Gonzalez.
He should have 1 loss and a draw to Cuadras and Estrada, I think he loses in a rematch with both of them, and if he gets to the Monster, he loses to him as well, so no.
He wont retire undeafeted, he is only now starting to make good money and im sure he will continue fighting until he loses to get the most earnings out of he's csreer
Chocolatito had a hard nights work last time out, and some feel the result could have gone either way. Every fighter has a maximum weight ceiling, and this was clearly his.
If he reaches to 49-0 with wins over Cuadras, Estrada and Inoue, that'd be really, really, really amazing.
He won't stop there. He's more of a 60-80 fight type of fighter. He's still young enough to do it to even if he's slowed the pace a little since he got famous. The problem is it's only in the last year or two that he's begun to make money. He's probably only made about 2 million dollars his whole career. He'll fight on, lose a little, then maybe a lot and cash out on his name to the next round of up and comers in his division. But I can't see him stopping at 50-0 like Mayweather or Calzaghe. He's a different kind of fighter from them. Fights more, less cautious, gives the fans what they want, not protecting his 0. It's a different mentality.
As some have mentioned, it depends on who he ends up taking on. I don't think he'll retire undefeated because he's a great fighter who believes in his skills, so I imagine he'll have his two rematches with Cuadras and Estrada as well as fight Inoue before hanging up the gloves. The bigger guys seem to be able to take his shots a lot better, and the way Roman fights, he's going to be taking a lot of punishment while continuing to campaign in this weight class.
