With currently PBF on top, can PAC become #1 P4P without holding a legit belt when he beats Barrera come Oct. 6? If the PBF vs Hatton will push through on December and Pretty Boy gets it via a SD, will PAC overtake him on the list? Or will this depend on how PAC will annihilate Barrera?

Hatton needs to beat Mayweather first and thats not going to happen. I have Rafael Marquez ahead of Pacquiao anyway.

So you mean "IF" Hatton wins over PBF, you'll have Rafael Marquez as the #1 P4P if he beats Vasquez?

With Rafa Marquez at number 3, if both Pacquiao and Mayweather loose, there will be a new p4p king, I don't know how long he will last but thats something that could happen.

And NO Pac doesn't get the number 1 spot by beating and old Barrera in his retirement fight, as it was stated PBF has to lose.

Most likely I will. I mean lets says Marquez got a very suspect decision over Vasquez and Barrera-Pacquiao 2 is a exact repeat of the 1st fight I might jump Pacquiao into 1 because Barrera is still a top 10 p4p fighter to me and could beat just about anyone on any night.

    well it depends.

some people consider pac to be #1 anyway considering the way he destroys others and the quality of his oppositions compared to pbf.

well going to the question, if you like hit and run tactic again pbf will stay as number 1. but if you like pure action with somebody begging for his life, then it has to be pac :good

it is no brainer to choose pac if mab begs for his life again. :yep

It's a long shot. Mayweather would have to lose. If Hatton beats him Hatton could winde up #1.
Manny Pacquiao is somewhat so I don't how much that win would raise his stock expected to beat Marco Antonio Barrera. So I don't how much that win would raise his stock. He would have to follow up a win over Barrera with a nother impresive win. Forntunly the Super featherweight devision is deep with talent, or he could chalange a lightweight tittlest next, but he has to beat Berrera first and Mayweather has to lose.

Not to me as Pacquiao needs to start beating good fighters not named Barrera or a shot Morales. PBFs overall body of work with Corrales,Castillo,Judah,Baldomir,DLH is better and hes more skilled and talented which is the basis of p4p to determine who is the best based or his talents/skill and resume. All Pacquiaos really did is beat Morales and Barrera then got a gift draw vs JMM thats a good resume but if he wants p4p number 1 he needs to get wins over Soto or Marquez or Guzman.

YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT EM, MAB, JMM. these are pound per pound fighters who kissed the canvass many many times when pac fought them. gone where the days where pbf fought good fighters. his ecent opposition is a hohum one. judah, baldo and old odl hell no!!!! pac is much better and it is a brutal beating. and going to jmm again, pac busted that left hand after the first round oki google it. and a judge error.. relax, after mab and tons of $, it will be jmm, guzman and soto. :good bottom line, pac fought them with utmost destruction :good

Hold up are u telling me a shot Morales coming off a bad loss to a decent fighter in Raheem is better the Oscar De la Hoya ? **** no your crazy if you think so. If Pacquiao beats Barrera agian then Soto-Guzman then yeah we might have a new King in p4p. Hes great we all know he can do it but Barrera is no slouch and can pull off a upset hes did it before.

Will it be a different story if PAC will take on JMM instead of MAB on Oct. 6 and wins it convincingly(either a UD or KO) and then PBF wins a SD over Hatton? Or should PBF really lose in anyway for PAC to become #1 P4P? From the way I see it, PBF should either lose or retire to give way to PAC. Is there anybody in the SF division that can PAC take on for him to become P4P #1 eventhough PBF remains unbeaten?

So in your own words, PBF has to lose, Marquez should not be impressive in his fight with Vasquez and PAC has to KO MAB or get a UD for him to become #1 P4P?

Unless PBF loses....no. Pacman can no longer lean on the "better resume" thing. Pacman is fighting an older and far past his best MAB and beat a Morales who had just lost to a good but not great fighter badly. That doesn't equate to beating an old and past it DLH (who is greater than Morales) and a prime Hatton.

As for the destroying his opponents theory. That doesn't fly. That would mean that pure boxers could never get past the punchers on any list, since they would never "destroy" their opponents.

Not if PBF beats Hatton then were to fight and beat either Mosley or Cotto. Pacman is going to most likely need a loss by PBF to move up.

    Floyd would have to lose.
