Will Pac become the betting favorite?

I was wondering this because I made a friendly bet with a guy I work with on the fight and I assumed more people would side with me, but throughout the rest of the day, more of my co-workers bombarded me with comments like "why did you bet against Pac?" and "Floyd's going to get killed!!". One guy told me I was throwing my money away. Even though I stand by my prediction (Floyd by decision), I am still a little surprised by how many people I know who are expecting a Pac victory. Does anybody think Pac will be the betting favorite by fight time?

once a large number of filipinos and others start betting large sums of money on pacquiao the vegas odds will most likely start to favor pacquiao..in my opinion the general public favors pacquiao just because of the fights he has been in lately...de la hoya, hatton, and cotto.

I have to agree...and he is very "hollywood"at the moment, so as far as the general public is concerned, he is the fresher face

yup...he comes off as humble as well...even though all the demands made by his team are approved by him, but roach takes all the heat for him...mayweather is disliked by a large number of media pundits, especially Brian Kenny of ESPN.

If Pac is the betting favorite, i'll have to make a few more bets on Floyd. By the 14th, i'll be loaded. Oh yeah, **** Brian Kenny.

If it is anywhere near 2:1 odds I'd be very surprised.

I like Brian Kenny because he is passionate about boxing and wants to see it more on mainstream television. But, he has it out for Mayweather.

I just think that sports news personalities like him should be non-biased, but he wears his dislike for Floyd like a cheap suit and seems very emotional about it at times.

That's very true. A lot of writers now-a-days are biased. Most bias comes from writers who fancy fighters of similar national origin or what not.

I haven't checked it out as of late but last time I saw anything it was like 8-5 mayweather....pretty even odds....I don't think there will be a lot of money to be made on this fight, unless you bet huge sums of cash....

This is not the betters fight.....

Yeah that is around the odds I expect this fight to be. I doubt it moves anything near 2:1. Do you know the Over/Under?

I hope so. As far as I am concerned, it's money in the bank.
