lol.. Funny how the casual fans make such a big deal about that knockdown. It was a balance shot guys. It happens, get over it.

Well its definitely a possibility, if Clottey is caught off balance as was the case in the fight with Cotto then ofcos he can...not hurt tho, just a flash Knock down.

If Cotto had sent Clottey on the canvass, so why can't Pac? I say the man is vulnerable to be hit. But no disrespect to Clottey, but he should improve his defense more against Pac. In his past few fights, Pacquiao's right hand had shown effectiveness too. With that almost unending pressure, barrage and different angle of punches could truly overwhelm Clottey. IMO If he gets lazy against Pac, it would even be impossible for him to reach the midpoint of the match. Clottey must not feel the punches of Pacquiao early and hope to stick to his game plan to get over and beat Manny. But if he does felt it, then I say he will be knocked down on a single shot, either by a left or even a right straight by Pacquiao.

Clottey isn't busy enough, hes going to get his butt handed to him. I don't see him losing by ko or tko but he will get knocked down im sure. Tough shell to crack but Pacquaio will win convincingly UD

    You truly amaze me.

Do you think Pac is fighting the withered, weight-drained corpse of a an who has already been beaten half to death with plaster and mortar???

No. He is fighting Joshua Motha****in Clottey!

And Clottey will be full strength, hungry, pissed off at being robbed once against Cotto, and ready to beat Pac senseless. Pac will fly in one time too many in an attempt to break that shell defense, and Clottey will catch him with a nicely timed 4-punch-uppercut combo...

By the time Pac wakes up, Bob Arum will have jumped to his death from the skybox at Texas Stadium....:good

Cotto has done that at least three times with his jab. He has a little move there where he steps so quickly and forcefully into his jab at an opportune time, he can knock you down. It wasn't just Clottey by fluke. But yeah, Clottey was caught off guard and as Kirk says, if they fought ten times, maybe it would never happen to Clottey again. But since Cotto has done it to a few different fighters, I don't think it's a total fluke. Cotto has a nice move there. Give him props. Clottey's head is made out of stone. Pac's taking home one or two broken hands, maybe.

I don't see him moving Josh like that. Pac is a much better p4p puncher than Cotto in terms of explosive speed and execution but Cotto is a harder puncher with more weight and muscle behind him. Then again, Pac is Pac and he might make me look like an idiot and send Josh's head into Larry Merchant's lap out of nowhere. Prompting Larry to say "Joshua Clottey, I love you more than Shane Mosley now!"

Yes I agree Clottey is a genuine mo'fo, but I'm only saying Pac will always be Pac, who is a true beast to face against in the ring. I know this is a tough test for Pacquiao fighting a huge and strong boxer, but I know he will prevail as he did over great fighters in the past far better and stronger than Clottey.

    :tired

    Ever heard about balance?
Learn boxing before talking about it.
People are so funny when a fighter gets knock down with a jab...They jump straight away to the fragile chin...
    Cotto landed a good jab.
But Clottey took hundreds of jab like that in his career.
How come didn't Cotto knock CLottey with the (many) straight he landed? :tired
    Off balance. Period.

I'm pretty sure you already posted the same thing before...except DLH, Hatton and Cotto were the name instead of Clottey.

only time clottey has ever been down in his career was being caught off balance by a cotto jab. when any fighter is caught off balance anyone can go put them down. clottey couldn't find his feet under him. i really don't think cotto knew clottey was off balance he just saw an opening to land.

its possible but i dunno i think pac will prolly ko him, but that knockdown wasnt legit he didnt really hurt clottey when cotto knocked him dwn. he actually won the rd if it wasnt 4 that then he would have prolly won the fite. i think the knockdown had to do more with his balance i dont think he was very balanced when cotto knocked him dwn because that wasnt meant to do damage like that.

Actually, I picked Manny against Hatton... Against Oscar i had no idea what would happen.

    And I picked Cotto.

But this is different. Clottey is full strength and in his prime. Wait and see.

What i'm saying..its always different this time...

    Not saying Clottey can't win...

People keep picking against Pacquiao...someday they'll be right and say? "I told you"

    Its just funny.

You could say the same thing about Floyd when it comes to DeLaHoya and Hatton. :think

I'm not a Pac doubter or hater. I just think Joshua Clottey will be the first strong, in-his-prime, unweightdrained, tough, durable fighter he has fought since his rise in weight. At some point he will hit a wall.

    And this is that point.

    KO8...:smoke
