Will Pac-Mayweather ever happen?

i'm almost certain somebody's carear will be over in 2 years....cotto, marquez, floyd, or pacquiao......i see one of these 4 fighters suffering 2 critical back-to-back loses that pretty much ends their carear....

 

1) Yes it will. I think it will happen if both are successful in their next fights. Pacquiao already stated it's one fight then Mayweather and he's done with boxing. He made it clear retirement is NOT an option till he fights Mayweather. All that depends on the negotiations of course, I have a feeling they will agree to something despite all the negativity like was the case before Hatton and DLH for both Mayweather and Pacquiao. I think it's fair to say both guys will get a lot of **** if they're victorious next and can't make it happen, fans WON'T let that go and whoever ruins it gets a lot of ****. Both guys know that this is the type of fight that boxing DEMANDS, Lewis/Tyson also knew that fighting each other is what boxing demands despite it being too late and still made it. If both look great in their next fights they should immediately sign it for early or mid next year at most.

2) $2million+. Honestly, who won't buy this PPV if it's announced and that's a question to members on this site only. This is the type of event that guarantees casual fans.

3) Can't give a prediction right now. We know how Pacquiao is doing recently but we know nothing about Mayweather, can't judge Mayweather based on fights 2 years ago. 2 years off is too much in boxing and this break/retirement could either ruin him or give him the rest his body always wanted and see him come back stronger. I'll need to see how Mayweather performs against Marquez first. Not to say Pac is anything like Marquez, hell no, just want to see Mayweather's performance in general and if he still has it. Marquez should be a good enough opponent to force Mayweather to work his best in there to win, Marquez is NO walkover for no one.

 

If both floyd and pac wins their fight, it would be a blockbuster for sure with the potential of breaking records.. but fight happening will be harder to imagine considering so many factors that might prevent this from happening. From negotiation it will be full of drama.

 

After floyd/jmm & cotto pac fights, it will be the concentration of topic debates specially if both floyd & pac wins. i hope pac & floyd both wins and agree to fight. that would be the boxing event of the decade. that can be called fight for p4p title.

Marquez will never be the same after the PBF fight and at 140. It's an easy fight for Pac if ever it will happen. Back to Cotto, I think Pac has pretty bigger chance of winning this fight. His blinding speed kills.
