    spot on.

for the ppv buys, i'm thinking the same as margo numbers, maybe even lower.

I thought so too. But there's no buzz. Get ready for a disappointment.

I think it will do 1.2-1.3 but no more. I would be shocked if it does more. But I would be even more shocked if it did less than a million.

Because that would go against Pac's rising "Public Status". I mean if he does a mil for Clottey or close to it, I just don't think he is going to fall under that for Mosley.

Oh one thing about the 360 Fight Camps; They could be a lot better and it surprises me they are not. I am not a fan of 24/7 at all. They are completely formulaic and phony. The Super Six Fight Camp 360's I really like, but it seems that this version isn't being given enough air time. There just isn't enough material and their access seems "controlled".

What I mean by that is, in the Super Six you felt like you were really behind the scenes and people weren't holding their tongues. You know like you were a fly on the wall, but in this version it feels more like 24/7, but without the narration, soundtrack, etc....etc. And that is why it seems flat and uninteresting to me at least.

He clearly fell off the 1mil mark against Clottey. That fight only had 700K PPVs.

The Clottey fight was right after Pacquiao's dominating performance vs Cotto......it was promoted heavily by Arum and the novelty was that it would be held at massive newly built Cowboy Stadium.
.....it mustered a respectable 700K, but well short of what Arum was looking for, and a downer after Pacquiao's fight with Cotto.

If Pacquiao-Margarito with a strong Latin fanbase buying the fight did 1.15 mil, you would think that this coming fight with a 40 year old Mosley who has'nt won a fight in over 2 years is going to do significantly less.

Perhaps not, Cotto was a fighter that Void avoided! Void is purely void!

i think cotto has more drawing power than mosley, but pac's name has grown since then...although, that fight was also built up as a little guy moving up to claim a special record, and this fight fight is basically pointless, so i am going with less

The fight is being marketed to a completely different target than the HBO crowd. The HBO crowd all know this fight and the PPV venue might lose 100k PPV's from the HBO side but it's going to gain another Million ++ on the CBS/Showtime side. Causal fans don't follow the technical side of boxing. A name already made will sell. Duran / Leonard still did huge super star revenue the third time around even though they were senior citizens. (and don't even bother with that differet era BS).

The biggest PPV draw in history was Oscar Dela Hoya and both Pacquiao and Mosley have their name known to the Oscar crowd. This fight should easily do 1.5 Million and has the potential to do more than 2 Million. Marketing this fight through CBS was a masterful promoter move.
