Could pac beat a beat holder at middleweight? Who is his next opponent. Finally if he did win a middleweight belt where would he be in the HOF?
I have no idea if he actually will, but I'd love to see it. I can't blame him if he doesn't really. But if he were to beat the Williams-Martinez winner for the lineal middleweight title, then it would become almost impossible for people to rank him outside the top 10 all time. He passes Duran quite easily at that point, I think.
He won't fight anyone at middleweight. He came in at 144.6 for a 150 fight against someone slow. There's no way they'll go up against genuine 160s. The closest we'll get is if Martinez accepts a drain to a 155 catchweight for the MW title, or PWilly accepts something like 150, for Pac's SWW belt. I'd be disappointed if they did. Hagler-Mugabi is my idea of a MW fight ...
Tim Bradley would be a good fight, at 160's the fighters are quite a bit more substantial and also carry for weight behind the punches. I'd like to see him fight at 140lbs or 147lbs. Katsidis, Bradley etc.
Remember guys marg came in at 165. Martinez was only 167 for his fight against Pavlik. If he can find someone tailormade for his style at 160, why not?
