We don't even know anything about this much talked-about May 5th date for us to determine whether Pac will "step up to the plate" or not. There may nothing to step up to.

It's as if Arum and Floyd are playing a game of who can pin the most blame, whilst avoiding each other and milking the public with other fights for as long as possible. Arum won it clearly in 2010, and now Floyd's whooping his ass in 2011. And obviously, when you stage a farce/lie like this for so long, you're going to see a few inconsistencies from the two sides; such as "no negotiations took place"..."Yes we will take the tests"..."They're not taking the tests. Don't believe them"..."Koncz didn't come to talk about fight, he just took pictures", etc.

The good news is, however, that Floyd's running out of opponents and Pacquiao's team are growing frustrated and crumbling within. We may finally have arrived at the point where neither side can get away with fighting inferior opponents for easy paydays.

Everyone was to blame but now it's all on Bob Arum and clearly so.

Not unless Uncle Bob allows him to step up to the plate, which is unlikely.

Manny Pacquiao has been ready to step up to the plate. It's been Floyd Mayweather, the reluctant warrior who has wanted to "vacation" and "not think about boxing right now". Bob Arum and Golden Boy Promotions haven't helped matters either. I think May 5th will finally be the day. In my opinion, Mayweather is gung ho on making this fight now because Manny had a less than great showing against Marquez. Either way, I will be thrilled if the fight takes place. I will be rooting for Pacquiao all the way, but my prediction hasn't changed. Mayweather W 12.
