We all know the 1st fight did 700k buys and Pac is on a downward spiral in terms of relevancy in boxing. The last fight Pac was involved with did 475k (Official records). It completely bombed. Do you think the 2nd fight with Bradley will do more than 700k? My opinion- It will do 500k No one really wants to see this fight again. Bradley has no personality and the first fight's result was already very clear.
id say million +/- few hundred thousands. plenty of unknowns here, like how the american audience will respond to pac's after a year or so of hiatus in vegas and who are in the undercards. bradley's recent fights with ruslan and jmm should hep but he needs to be more vocal in the promo/lead up to the fight. their history should help as well. this is concaine is better than bradley: talking. i think pac's movie comes out before the fight. this should help as well.
Hbo 24/7 will bring in a quite a few more buyers & Pac will probably do a talk show or 2 on the run up, I'd expect between 800k to a mil, the undercard to this is way better than the Pac vs Rios card & also that was on the other side of the world.
huh, 500 will be a success for paq you guys only go off whats happened recently so 500 is a good buy rate for paq. last ppv for him didnt come close to 500
It's a good fight, but not a particularily exciting one, in ways. The first fight may have left too much of a taste in people's mouths to buy again, and Bradley just isn't a draw despite his name being put out there more recently. Pac's last fight did what, 450? That was in China and seen by most as a tune up so I expect this fight to be quite a lot bigger, although being sandwiched between Canelo and Mayweather PPV's, and the fact that the undercard is nothing special, it really is difficult to tell how it will go.
Still don't get the argument for China. There's a thing called electromagnetic waves and televisions. Did you know you can watch events on the other side of the world instantly now? No joke.
It's more the hype etc to it, there wasn't much promotion in or marketing towards the US. It's not a huge reason but its a factor imo
