Will Pacquiao diminish Mayweather (again) in the Hatton fight?

I rate PBF slightly higher, so a Pac win over Hatton probably pulls them even.

If Pacs beat Hatton at 140 for the 140lb title it will be a better win for Pac than it was for PBF. Mayweather was the defending champ when he fought Hatton, fighting a guy coming up in weight who in his previous fight at the welter limit was rather uninspiring.

Hatton is the linear champ at 140 though and is coming off a very good win against the light welter ranked at number 2. Hatton has a proven record at 140, it would also give Manny the legitamate world championship at the weight, hence if Pac pulls it off the win counts for more.

I no longer rank Mayweather on my p4p list as he is 'retired', but if he comeback I wouldnt put him above Pac either.

Lot of good responses here, IMO -- thanks, guys! :good

I think if Pac beats Hatton in a more impressive fashion than did PBF then it will be inevitable (if it already isn't inevitable should Pac win) that Pac-PBF is taking place.

And I still have to give PBF the edge there based on Floyd's natural size and length advantages. Those certainly aren't the only considerations to take into account, but when you're as good as both of these fighters, natural advantages can mean a lot more.

Of course, Hatton can make all of this moot by beating Pac and setting up his own possible rematch with Money May.:rasta
