If/when this fight happens in 2009 do you think it will be a great fight or will it fail to live up to expectations?

Is it possible it will go down as one of the fights that gets talked about for years or will it be a big letdown like many hyped fights are these days?

Forget predictions here I just want to know what the consensus is on here.

They need a good ref for this fight, to keep the fight going.

I don't think it will be a truly great fight. It will be an exciting fight, it will be a competitive fight, but it will lack the suspense of a truly great fight, as the winner will have been obvious from about round three onwards. Hatton will have no way to protect himself from Pac's speed and power, from round three on it will be about how long Hatton will last. It will be thrilling as Hatton has a big heart and will keep on coming, but Pac will be well ahead on points when the knockout inevitably comes around round 10. Speed kills. To be a truly great fight, there needs to be suspense throughout as to who the winner will be. I don't see that suspense here, despite it being fast and frenetic til the later rounds.

Hatton will school his ass into retirement :rofl

    Seriously......................

I see this as being like Pac vs Morales I, but can't pick a winner. Either way, one of them will be shot afterwards, if not both.

I think the bar is going to be set very high. It is going to be hyped as the fight that will "save" boxing. I'm expecting a competive fight. I lean towards Hatton winning. He is in my opinion the best at 140 right now and it is not easy to come down in weight. I do however reserve the right to change my mind. (sorry about the prediction.) I think that to impress the casual boxing fan or the non boxing fan of other sports. It has to be a "fight" with a lot of give and take from both Pacquiao and Hatton and not a strigitic boxing match. I think in terms of boxing fans I think a compitive contest of any kind will be satisfiying.

Great fight, which will probably be on the same par as castillo corales 1 and thats a bold statement. BTW Beeston leeds will be in the **** if blackpool go through with their lawsuit. Mking did u watch hatton last fight if you did it was paulie who was intiating all the clinches.

it is true and thats what separates ricky from every other fighter. getting rid of his band is the stupidest idea:patsch.. the hatton band & uk crowd is what makes his fights so electrifying. and when manny stops him in dramatic fashion, the win will feel even greater for pac fans.

Yeah it maybe a great feeling for pac fans but don't count out hatton at 140 because he'll have a great deal to say in that fight as well as boxing behind his jab like he did against paulie.
