He is only proven at 130, and then in his last fight at the weight controversially and by the skin of his teeth. A win over the worst LW champ I have ever seen and a shuffling shell of his former self Oscar hardly makes him the a LWW king does it?

His last three wins have certainly flattered to deceive....the sound of band wagon jumping is ****ing deafening around here:tired

yep, team hattons gotta lot of work ahead of them in preparation for this fight, where it seems that pac just has to tune up physically & refresh the game plan which is quite clear..

its more of the proven fact that mannys speed & power hasnt decreased much from 130-145. and top it off his footwork & overall boxing ability is improving.

the distruction of diaz & hoya (moving up in weight) speaks much louder than a sloppy performance over the hand picked lightweight lazcano whom had been inactive for over 15 months prior fighting ricky.. not to mention lazcano stunned ricky in the fight and had him holding on before the shoe lace incident.

I'm no Bandwagon jumper i just think the guy looks good at 130,135 or 142.
He eased into these weight classes and still maintained all the skills he possessed at lower weight's, He doesn't seem to have any problems moving up until maybe a Cotto or a Margarito, he will struggle big time against a live Welterweight.

You're right about the last 3 fight's but there's no dishonor struggling to beat Marquez as he is p4p top ten and will give anyone trouble.
Diaz and Oscar were annihilated with sensational performance's surly you cant expect any more.

Hatton is the Man at 140 but he's never faced anyone like Pacquiao and i think it'll be intresting to see how it play's out.
I might have it totally wrong but Hatton has had his problems with avoiding punches recently and although he looked better against Malignaggi, Paulie was awful that night so i cant wait till May.

If Floyd Mayweather Sr.'s in Hatton's corner, then I think so.

I can see this easily being well below expectations.

Pacmania is building up to such a frenzied state, that its going to be difficult for any of his fights to meet expectations now.

The last time he fought someone of an equal skill level he barely won, many people even think he lost. His last 2 fights were against fighters that weren't at his level, but because he's moved up in weight class, the hype machines are cranking into full gear.

Pacquiao would have to beat Ricky on the inside ... and i'm sure that Ricky would make it a tough fight.

There aren't too many fighters out there like Ricky Hatton and i'm sure his physicality would catch Pacquiao by surprise ... I don't think he'd be able to escape Hatton like he did DLH.

Never suggested you are, far too many others certainly are however.

130 absolutely without doubt...135 or 142: the opposition was way too weak to make an informed judgement.

Maybe because he did not face a live opponent? Wins over Oscar and Diaz may just flatter to deceive

He may also struggle against a top class LW or LWW...we will find out, but at this stage it is just impossible to tell based on his past performances against weak opposition (Diaz and Oscar).

Fascinating fight, i cant pick a winner and i never thought I'd say that with a Hatton fight at 140.
My Heart says Hatton but my head says Pacquiao.

Icemax how do you think it will play out?
