He is, don't listen to the haters in this thread. Funny thing is that if you talked like they are talking about Floyd, all hell would break lose with them.

I seriously doubt there would be huge buzz. In the Hoya/Mayweather fight, they were hoping to break 1.5 million buys. However, the bad blood between the two, Floyd's antics throughout the 13 city press tour, and the 24/7 show helped make that fight bigger than people hoped. It did 1/2 million more than the next best boxing ppv in history.

There is no real bad blood between Pac and Hoya. Neither one of them are going to take on the role of the bad guy. There is no rivalry, and very little history. If you want to top 2.4 million buys, you have to bring more than just name recognition. That's the only thing this fight would have. How anyone could seriously argue that this fight would break 2.4 million buys is beyond me. Nothing is impossible, but this would be highly doubtful.

Nike had Andre Ward in one of their commercials. So you don't have to be big to be in one of their commercials.

    .

NOPE because there no way in hell Oscar is going to give Pac 20 mill and no one is going buy into the notion that pac has a chance against a fighter 20 pounder heaver , 5 inches Taller , and has a 6 inch reach advantage.

a super feather weight Vs a Jr Middle :blood

Pac fighting Baldi would be considered unfair....How is Oscar fighting pac going to look.

I don't attribute as much of their success to Floyd's antics as I do to the 24-7 show.

That type of programing is huge in selling fights. You may be right that it doesn't top the record, but to dismiss the possibility outright doesn't make sense either. The public often plays the role of the uneducated consumer, and there is never a formula for guaging exactly what they will go for.

Ok, what if I told you that DLH/Mayweather II will break the record of the first fight? You would probably dismiss this idea. Many on this site are claiming it won't do half the numbers the first fight did. Like I said, anything is possible. However, given the situation, I just don't see a Pac/Hoya fight topping 2.4 million.

PBF demostrated that antics in the Judah & Baldo fight but he didn't sell a lot of PPV there. It takes a DLH for him to make a name. But true Good vs Bad sells as we saw with the DLH-PBF fight. But David vs Goliath will sell also.

Pac as a small guy will be like David & will try the imposible to beat a Goliath which is DLH. DLH lately has the Bad Publicity with Fishnet scandal. He can Play a bad man for maybe one fight. Pac can Play also as an Invader from a Distant land. How about name Pac as a Mexicutioner this time against DLH as Mexico's saviour.

How about play some footage of DLH saying Pac lied in his Deposition during their Promotional Battle. then Pac saying his stories of DLH's suitcase tricks.

Mexico-Philippine Fans will be there. Boxing fanatics will watch this. Celebrities always watch DLH fights, Boxing Greats will be there to witness history in the making. Pac for doing the almost imposible feat & DLH for his last fight. Who will not Pay for this????

I agree with a lot of this PacD.

The Mexico vs Phllipines aspect is something hard to capture if you don't live in California like we do. That could very well serve as the rivalry Reg asked for. Many Mexicans would adopt Oscar for this one to see Manny be revenged.

Even a lot of Mexicans will cheer for Pac. Some Native Mexicans really don't like DLH Because they made them a Bad name with Fishnet thing.

Also I agree with what you said that Casual fans has no Idea about the weight Differences. Even my boss who is 6'5 was not aware of Pac-DLH size. He said Pac will beat DLH because he's too fast. I have customer who's 50 yrs old white guy who also Pick Pac, saying DLH was too old.
I think only us diehard Internet Boxing fans & Boxing experts are aware of this.

I will not be surprise if the Majority of the Crowd will be rooting for Pac. Crowd always like the underdog & the little guy in the fight.

Pacquiao isn't a PPV star? Let's compare what can Marquez achieved against someone else while Pacquiao fights Diaz.

    Marquez - Juarez = Free
Pacquiao - Barrera II = PPV

You are underestimating JMM!!! He has a PPV against MAB that sells 225K. But still Pac outsells him the next fight with 350K for a Non title fight against MAB.:yep
