Will PBF and Pac be respected as fighters universally when they retire?

Of course they'll be respected when they retire. Two of the best to ever lace them up.

both will be very respected, floyd more so in my opinion because i think he'll beat pac when they fight. i don't think some people actually realise how great these two really are. put it this way, they'll be on the p4p all time list, and the more time that passes, the higher they will go. true legends. you probably won't see two fighters as good as these two for over 20 years in my opinion, if not longer.

These two guys are both ATG we are witnessing right now... No one else holds a candle to these men, why you think fanboys get so excited... Give it til 2025 when these guys are officially done, we'll look back and wish we still had them in our realm just like Pea and Holy... Only thing is these guys are in the same class...

Anyone who doesnt respect these two men as boxers / fighters should start following another sport! I dont like Floyd as a person but he impressed the hell out of me against shane, the man didnt stop coming forward all night. Pac is just a phenonemon. Both ATG fighters.

Well, things can always change based on "what happens next". Where would Roy Jones get ranked if he retired after beating Ruiz, or Tarver the first time? Probably a hell of a lot higher if he hadn't been sparked out repeatedly after that... even though that doesn't take away his prior accomplishments. That CAN always happen as long as a fighter continues to fight.

The one guy I see in the game right now who could potentially be the next superfighter is Andre Ward. The guy seems to have serious ability and is already a veteran, as young as he is. The next solid pound for pounder number one, as I see it.

If Pacquiao takes the test I will have the biggest respect for him, but as long as he says no there is always something in me that says he has been using some kind of drug.

I stil rate him very highly at the lower weightclasses though, and should definately go down as one of the best.

He's passed all of his 10 previous drug tests and there's no documentable evidence that he's ever used PEDs.

    Not good enough for you?

OK then, while you're at it, ask your parents for a DNA test to prove you weren't adopted. The next time your child gets an A in a test, have the teacher retest him to make sure your child didn't cheat. See the logic there?

he's very good, and i picked him to win the tournament including picking him to beat kessler aswell. very good boxer, but i'll be very surprised if he turned out as good as floyd. when i saw floyd in the amateurs, i actually said to my mates and dad that he'll be great, you could just instantly tell he was special. same with jones. certain boxers you can tell with first sight that they're special. we'll have to see how good ward turns out to be.

Its not the same mate, and yeah if somebody was unsure that it was my child and asked me to take the test, I would definately do it. But its still not the same.

Roy Jones and Floyd Mayweather moved up in weight, but they did not knock people out as brutally as Pacquiao did. How couldnt he knock a shot Barrera out, but could brutally KO Hatton, Diaz, walk through all of Cotto´s punches and put him down twice with one single punch, and then stop him in the later rounds? I dont care what you people say. It is physically impossible to move that much up in weight, and then become a faster stronger fighter. Shane Mosley passed all the tests, but he was on something, so did Evander holyfield and many other sports athletes. Why wont he take the test, and shut people like me up then?

True boxing legends. Both will be truly missed someday

He knocked a near-his-prime Barerra the first time. Hatton was caught coming in. Floyd knocked him out, why cant Pacquiao? Diaz's KO was due to accumulation of punches. It's the punches he didn't see that put Cotto down. He was off-balance when Pac caught him. Pac would have KO'd and not TKO'd ODLH if he was roid strong.

Belive me when I say, you cant get faster and stronger if you move up from superfeather to welterweight in less than 2 years. He knocked Barrera out at the lower weightclasses (featherweight), but the second time they fought at superfeather, Pacquiao didnt even hurt him. And if you cant hurt a Barrera at super feather then, how come you make your opponents legs shake EVERY time you land a punch at the higher weight classes? (I swear I even feel the punches Pac throws when Im sitting in the living room) His punches looks stronger than Shane Mosley´s, that cant be true, I dont care how hard you train, you cant go from superfeather up to welterweight at such short time and become faster and a harder hitter than Shane Mosley.

And its different when Floyd knocked out Hatton, it was because he wore him down and landed that perfect left hook. Pacquaio made Hatton´s legs buckle when he landed a jab on him.
