I wanna hear this from the joyboys on here, will floyd ever take on an actual WELTERWEIGHT CONTENDER , or will we see trilogies with DLH and HATTON ?? Oh and dont say "he did with Judah" cuz that was AGES ago.
if he fights a real welter weight contender he wont be able to show his money like he does now if you know what i mean
PBF said it himself, I will retire from boxing, boxing will not retire me. Translation: I will not fight someone who can beat me I will take the easiest fights for the most money.
I don't think so. He deserves credit for beating Hatton but that is essentially a jr.welter fight. Mayweather to this day has faced only one top 147lber and that was cinderella man Baldomir. And I doubt he will ever go beyond that.
Let me ask ya'll this though? If you were Mayweather would YOU fight Margarito or Cotto? There is a reason Mayweather payed $750,000 not to fight Margarito and there is a reason he's rather fight Hatton than Cotto. If Cintron couldn't even phase Margarito, what is Floyd gonna do? He'll have no choice, but to run ALL night, and if he attempts to clinch, Margarito will throw uppercuts. Margarito is way too much risk, way too little reward. As far as Cotto is concerned........the guy is a beast and he's skillful and can box. If you could retire with a pretty face and a fat wallet, wouldn't you do the same thing? I would stay the **** away from Cotto and Margarito if I'm Floyd.
Judah was dethroned and beaten when Mayweather fought him. Having him #3 is a stretch at that point in time.
He'll fight Cotto next and when that's over we'll go back to Margarito since Cotto isn't a "true" Welterweight either, remember?, he was at 140 too right next to Hatton. Ironically though, PBF isn't a true 147 fighter as well so it's all unfair and bull****, they should all retire! :rofl
