Its taken me a while to get up for this fight but I'm really looking forward to it now. I don't really give JMM much of a chance but I'm really intrigued to how this fight is gonna pan out.

Will JMM have his moments in this fight? Will he be able to get to PBF to make it a good fight? How will the 2 year layoff effect Floyd?

What type of fight are the Brit Forum users expecting?

Is it gonna be a stonker or a stinker? :think

Im with the majority that thinks Marquez v Mayweather will be a bit of a snoozer fight. However im part of the minority that aren't writing Marquez off. I mean if Pacquiao v Mayweather is being considered the better fight. You have to rememeber that Marquez fought Pacquiao in two closely fought contests. One draw one win. With the win for Pacquiao could have easily been argued for Marquez.

Mayweather will play it safe until the final bell, just doing enough to win. He knows Marquez is good so wont doo anything daft. Snoozer.

Mayweather's never been in an exciting fight, so I don't think he'll start now.

I think Marquez knows he's going to have to put some heavy pressure on Mayweather so I expect him to spend the whole fight going forward. I'd also expect Mayweathers defensive skills and reflexes to have diminished somewhat due to the layoff. This may lead to Mayweather having to engage a little bit more than usual. Hard to say one way or another whether or not it will set the pulse racing but it should certainly be a very interesting fight to watch anyway

2 incredibly skilled boxers who do counter punch. We could see a Toney McCallum like fight. A heated chess match, which I would find enjoyable. However are we forgetting how aggressive these fighters can be?!

Marquez and Mayweather WERE boring once upon a time but that was many years ago. Given, they have the odd dud performance but these guys have shown they can be warriors.

Mayweather has fought on through many injuries in many fights. He had a bit of a war with Augustus, Corley, Castillo, Chavez and one or two others. Floyd can fight in the pocket, in a war but admittedly avoiding being hit as much as others.

Marquez is coming off of sensational fights. Performances I was unsure he was capable of. **** you if think people thought Marquez could spark Casa and Diaz.

Floyd will box a safe fight if you are bigger - DLH, Baldomir, even Gatti.

As soon as Floyd has figured you out or realised he is stronger he'll turn it on i.e. Gatti, Judah, Brusseles.

This fight has a lot of potential. There is alot of pressure of Floyd to perform and Marquez has been promoting the idea he has to fight to beat Floyd.

This fight could fail but I think we got two fighters who could make a very good fight.

It will only be exciting if Floyd drops his hands and allows himself to get hit by the lightweight.

That won't happen. It'll be about as exciting as Mayweather/Baldomir.

Dont be surprised to see Floyd as the aggresor in this fight. He may even go for the stoppage. 2 counter punchers normally means a boring fight. But Floyds been working on his strength and conditioning whilst away from the sport. He looks very solid. Im sure he'll be trying some new things out in the ring and Marquez will give him that opportunity as he's a counter puncher first who has lost a step somewhat.

Nah, it'll be boring. I'm still excited about the event though.

By the way, anyone else think Floyd's aged facially?

I hadn't thought about this fight until today, just not excited about it at all. Will stay up to watch and hope to see a good technical fight as don't think that Marquez will be able to make this into a competitive exciting fight.
