I just saw this interview with Ben Davison. Couple of things I thought interesting. On the AJ Wilder fight he echoes Froch in saying that AJ is more keen on the fight that Hearn or McCracken. He says that the commercials offered to Wilder aren't really acceptable and that's a roundabout way of declining the fight without actually declining it. Have to say I broadly agree with this. I think Hearn is right in saying that Wilder can have the fight if he takes the flat 15 offer, but that's never going to see the fight actually made whatever Wilder says. If they offer him a percentage and he declines then you can talk about him not wanting the fight, not before. Davison also says that Hearn's offer to Fury did include fights with Bellew, Whyte and one other boxer before a fight with AJ, but that he refused to agree commercials for AJ before those fights which led to Fury looking elsewhere. Again, this has the ring of truth to it in my opinion. This content is protected
Agreed. Remember there were clowns on here arguing that McCracken had no input into AJ's fight schedule...
Jesus ****in' christ. Every thread I click on there's some basement dwelling fool whose height of success is working a 9-5 for some other man trying to defend his dumb as **** worldview.
that would be a particularly pleasant dream on the canvas. Similar way to George Groves being champion after getting brutally destroyed by Froch. twice
Pianeta will do better than most think. He is a solid boxer with experience. Of course he is past his prime and he never was a world beater but still he looked more than solid in his last fight vs a powerful and decent prospect. It's likely Fury will grind him down but i think Pianeta will put up a solid fight, mid/late round stoppage or wide UD for the Gypsy King.
