I keep telling everyone the same.
People forget Plant was a light heavy before dropping down.
And he was a top amateur.
    Just watch.

He'll be easier because Plant isn't very good.

C'mon. Saunders beat Chris Eubank Jr., Andy Lee, David Lemieux, Martin Murray. None of those guys were soft touches.

Plant has a belt. That's all. That's why I found it HYSTERICAL when guys on here were saying Canelo wants to "control" Plant's career when they tried to fight the first time.

Canelo won't remember Plant's name in five years. Plant is a rest stop.

A Canelo-Khan-like KO is on tap.

    Sadly, this is the truth.

Basically everyone Canelo has fought since he won his first title was a top amateur. (LOL)

Saunders, Smith, Kovalev, Jacobs, Golovkin, Cotto, Angulo, Mayweather, Mosley, Khan, Gomez, Ndou, etc.

Watch the Caleb Truax fight. Is that guy beating Canelo? They brought Truax in as a showcase so Plant could WOW everyone.

Instead, everyone watched this and went "WOW, this is the main event?" And "Wow, is this thing still going on?"

If they didn't have a cardboard crowd and "piped in crowd cheers" and actually had an audience, people would've booed from about the third round until they left the ring.

He was a 30-0 champion that had looked like garbage for the last 3 years.

Plant is a far better fighter at 168 and unlike BJS is dedicated to the profession and he actually stays fit in between fights

I've changed my mind and i think Plant will do better than his previous showings.

It could be like the Billy Joe fight who should have fought tougher opponents before he stepped in with Canelo.

I think he's gonna do better than Saunders to be honest. Saunders was not in the best shape when he fought Canelo who he should have fought at 160 not 168.

The only thing concerns me with Plant is his head movement. I think he's straight on when he tries to get inside. If Plant has improved his head movement i give him a chance.

I think potentially experience will let him down and i don't think he will keep the pace you need to beat Canelo up for 12 rounds.

I think Plant will have to bite down on his gumshield and i can see him taken some uppercuts and hard bodyshots. He has to perform a boxing masterclass and cannot get into a brawl because his power won't bail him out.

Come don't come with that weak stuff.

Shane was almost 40 years old was he not?
And his prime was at LIGHTWEIGHT.

Cotto? He was still capable but he was not in his prime. And he was not at his prime weight.

Triple G? He got outboxed the first fight to the point I'm not going to even argue that.

Angulo? He was a human punching bag at that point and you know it.

Khan? What weight was that fight at? How many times has Khan gotten knocked out BEFORE Canelo?

Kov???? He was beyond shot. Not even going to waste my time.

Saunders and Jacobs? I think those are 2 of the better wins for Canelo.

Plant was a natural light heavy before going DOWN a weight class. And he isn't almost 40 years old or two or three weight classes above his best weight class.
    He's in his prime.

And I have no idea why you would use Mayweather as an example. He won all but TWO rounds vs Canelo.

This will be brutal. No feeling out period, that’s already done. Straight from round 1 Canelo is going to stick it on him and Plant has already felt that power, he wants none of it.

BJS sucks. Khan did better than him for 5 rounds. I expect Plant to do better.

@168 I think Plant would beat Saunders.

But I don't think he will beat Canelo - but I DID like the cut of his jib at the presser - whether misplaced, he seems to have a lot of confidence in himself.

Canelo will destroy Plant, but Plant could probably beat Eubank Jr, he has a better jab.

I don`t see Plant doing anything in the ring that Saunders didn`t.
