Did he believe Korobov was a high risk fight so he vacated or has he got bigger plans for 2015 ?

Al Haymon didn't want him fighting on Roc Nation's card and paid Quillin to not fight.
He shouldn't be allowed to fight for another title at 160, imo.
The only reason Adonis Stevenson wasn't the biggest joke in boxing this year is because of Kid Undercard.

No probably not, he's too scared to fight anyone who's an actual threat, its hard to win belts if you're not willing to risk your 0 for it.

Jermain Taylor seems easy picking at 160 for a guy who is trying to play it safe :thumbsup

Yeah possibly. If he fights for one of the fake versions of the world title.

If he fights Danny Jacobs then i could see him possibly getting a win.

Well Quillin couldn't stop a partially retired Winky, I wouldn't write Jermain off in that fight. He beat Truax and Soliman and I wouldn't rate Quillin much higher than them.

Winky is a former indisputed 154 champ who has never been stopped before and has fought alot of top names like bhop mosley vargas etc so I can't judge quillin on not stopping winky wright

Abraham vs Smith is at super middleweight. I haven't heard that Quillin is moving to 168.

Jermain Taylor might be heading to prison so the belt will be vacated.

So it's possible he could get a shot at that.

Quillin is a big middleweight though and I remember he struggled to make weight for guerrero fight a while back so who knows especially with his inactivity

Yeah, man. JT has court in June or July and still can't stay out of trouble.
He was allegedly throwing bricks at some woman the other day.
You'd think he would be in the gym training for an upcoming fight to get some money for a legal team.

I don't think he was scared, just stupid business as usual.

HNN is mandatory for IBF. I imagine Haymon will get Taylor another payday before his trial. My guess is HNN will get step aside money for Quillin to fight Taylor, then HNN will rematch Quillin. Quillin did beat him once, so they might be confident about that fight.

The question then is who will they put Jacobs in with.

I know how durable Winky is, but he was way past it and Quillin never even seem to hurt him, Williams hurt him more than Quillin did, but I brought that up to point out there's no guarantee that Quillin can stop or even beat Jermain.
