hatton has a boring style and so does mayweather. hatton has a punch and grab style and mayweather has a jump and run style.

do you think the fighters will be trading blows during any time throughout the fight? i know hatton will be pressing for 5 rounds until he gets tired and so the fight will definitely slow down so mayweather has enough time to pot shot.

I think the fight will be alright, but most of us will be tuned in and excited while it happens live.

It's hard for me to get bored during a big fight when it is actually happening at the moment, even if the action isn't that special.

I rather doubt it. As you pointed out, they both have boring styles. While Hatton could not even make it entertaining with Urango who is a good puncher but a stationary opponent with no extraordinary skills, Mayweather totally stunk the place with his fight against another stationary opponent without much skills and power - Baldomir.

Good question. The anticipation for this fight is insane. I dont think it will live up to the expecations just like DLH - Mayweather. Today I was talking to a friend at work, hes not a regular boxing viewer but he tuned into Mayweather-DLH, he said it was total garabage. He felt robbed and it was total hype job. DLH gave us one Boring fight with 1 BS card.

Neither Mayweather nor Hatton are exciting fighters. Hatton hugs and Mayweather simply outboxes anyone. I expect the first few rounds to be good and when Hatton gets tired and Mayweather adjusts to Hatton, it will be boring just like DLH Mayweather.

Mayweather said in the press. conference yesterday that hes going to stand and trade and its going to be an exciting fight. ALL BS...thats what he said before fighting DLH just to get your money. He wont take any risks to entertain people.

Exactly... however there is a chance that it will be exciting, maybe together their styles will make this a good fight... but i doubt it, though it will however be good just because of how big a deal it is... gotta love the hype train!

floyd will pick apart ricky and he will do to ricky what he did too baldomir and gatti, and tee off on the head. But that is what i think.

Now what i hope is that floyd uses his talents and just avoids trouble but engages in a "tactical" war. But who knows, im entertained by floyds fighting style and i watched ricky in action so this one could be fun to watch.

the first 3-4 rounds should be pretty good, around that time hatton will have ate enough counters to back off and let pbf dance the night away

This fight won't be boring. I admit Hatton's style can be tortous to watch at times but in big fights he usually shows the right balance between punching and holding. Mayweather's approach will be very interesting, especially if there is a general consensus that he is getting outpointed early on in the fight. It wouldn't surprise me if the first few rounds are filled with Mayweather complaining about Hatton's roughhouse tactics before a fight breaks out from the fourth round onwards. When that happens, I make Mayweather slight favourite.

I expect it to be a watchable and entertaining fight, but nothing for the ages.

if it's boring it will be bacause hatton is hugging and holding.
Mayweather's fights against this type of opponent have been fine...like against Chaves and Castillo. He stayed away from Hoya and Baldomir more as they were much bigger.
