Or does Chavez have no idea what Roach is saying?

Nope! Roach is a good trainer, but he's not a miracle worker. Chavez Jr. is just not that good. He's decent and he did show some improve in his last fight, but no way will he be an elite fighter. They'll pad his record then cash out.

No, there's much greater upcoming talent. Chavez Jr would get eaten alive.

No he's not good. Roach is not Jesus he can't turn water into wine. I hate to say it but if he weren't my boy JCC's son then most likely we would not know who he is.

It is a matter of matching Chavez up slowly. Boxing is not filled with great fighters now, so getting to the top level is not that difficult, but staying there is. If they can slowly get his experience up I think Chavez Jr. can do ok. What great fighters are there right now at 154? Chavez is a big 154 pound fighter and he has a little power, I think he can be ok. A great like his father? No probably not, but a decent fighter.

No. When all said and done, Pac is an extremely gifted athlete, and Khan has a wealth of amateur experience, natural talent.

I still want to see Chavez Jr test himself more to see what he's capable of. Duddy was okay but I want to see him against stiffer challenges.

He doesn't look spectacular like Pacquiao and Khan, but looks powerful with hard punches.
